If indeed there is a smoking gun, NY times would have released every letter every word even if it was off the record. They wouldn’t have cared.

I’m sorry but this just seems to get crazier by the minute. People actually believe Trump would make a good president? Why?

The secret tape was supposed to be off therecord interview with NY times.

So what’s your point? You’ll beleive NY times if they have a secret tape bad to trump but don’t beleive them when they say they don’t have a story?

The convening of a Grand Jury is only a “probably” at this point as far as the public knows:

And I"m not a Clinton supporter; I’m a Sanders supporter.

She took the server OUT of the closet where it had been stored. It wasn’t set up in the closet.
 
There are two critical issues which relate to the Federal level. One is who will be picking Supreme Court judges (plural), and the intertwine beteen the budget and the deficit.

The Court works the least damage if it is equally weighted. If we end up with Hillary after the dust settles, then all the near-sighted conservative commentators are going to find that life for the next 30 to 40 years are going to be seriously slanted the the Left, to the point where the black robes essentially will re-write the Constitution via case law.

And while Obamacare is flawed deeply both in theory and in practice, if Hillary is President, the likelihood of either repealing and starting over, or seriously amending it has no chance. Failing to get it fixed in one manner of the other is going to rapidly put health care into chaos, which will be reflected both in the budget and in insurance costs.

Pundits can talk all they want. At the end of the program, it is not the Republican Party leaders, or pundits, or national talking heads who are going to decide anything, It will be the voters in critical states.

CNN has played the tape, so if we mean the same one, it’s not secret anymore.

Good presidents are very few if one goes that route.

Name one and unless it was Reagan, I can claim everything is ‘crazier’ too.

It appears the 2nd place and 3rd place candidates defeat Trump together.

Cruz’s position on immigration is a bit too harsh for me but otherwise, I think somewhere, votes can be consolidated behind one candidate.

In his diatribe against Trump, he didn’t say anyone should run; he just said Trump shouldn’t. That was in his speech. I don’t know what he may have said later on the subject, if anything.

I think Romney made the speech because he is actually worried about the country. He really gains nothing by making the speech, and risks his own reputation for doing so. He knows there is not enough support for him to ever win a national election.

I agree with you. Trump and Clinton are both divisive, but Trump is far more divisive than Clinton. And a lot of Sanders supporters, ardent as they are, would vote for Clinton rather than let the election go to Trump.

I personally believe no one really knows what to do right now…we are in some very confusing times right now…

I really do believe we need a candidate that belongs to no party and is not in any special interest pockets…and who does not need to be endorsed by anyone…some one who can stanf on his own merit. I believe this is what people see Trump as being. But I believe they are being deceived and exploited as well…

Just like the Republican party there are members that support some of the platform and not other parts. There are people that will vote straight party, and others that lean towards 3rd party options. And just like Republicans, their are those people that try and blackmail others with guilt into doing what they want them to do.

I listened as someone who has no “baggage” in this political game. I thought it was a measured and considered and balanced speech - and gentlemanly, as you say, Simple Soul. (What a relief to the ears after Trump’s nasty tirades)

Romney, I believe, genuinely loves your country and is trying to point out the dangers of electing Trump as president. It is exactly what outside “foreign” observers are saying and have been saying since Trump came on the scene.

I couldn’t help but wish Romney was one of the candidates - even if it is none of my business.
