There is no indication in most news stories that anyone was asked to “pledge allegiance to Obama”.
Romney told supporters in Florida that his “job is not to worry” about the 47 percent of Americans who don’t pay income taxes, are “dependent on the government" and "believe they are victims.” He said those people would never vote for him as president.

In contrast, the Obama campaign said Obama is “for all” Americans.

“’For All’ illustrates the shared values of the president and young Americans across the country: that if we work together, we can continue to move this country forward,” reads a release from the Obama campaign. “Working together, we can continue to restore the strongest middle class the world has ever known — the promise that hard work will pay off, responsibility will be rewarded, and that everyone gets a fair shot, does their fair share and plays by the same rules.”

The campaign is asking supporters to snap a picture of their pose on Instagram and tweet to submit using one of the suggested hashtags: #forall, #obama2012, #campaigntrail, #opendoors2012, #dnc2012, or just tweet the president’s account @BarackObama.

In the last election, it was Obama who was Hitler. I saw a poster by a LaRouche supporter depicting Obama with a Hitler mustache.

I am in favor of peaceful means to solve problems. Pouring more and more weapons into a war will only inflame the situation and result in more innocent children being killed and maimed. I would support a candidate who is for peace, not one who is for more war and bloodshed. More weapons, more shooting, more bombs and more bloodshed only creates more discord, more sorrow, more hate, more innocent victims, more poverty, more disillusion, more despair, and will not result in a good solution to the problems that exist. A solution can be found through peaceful diplomacy.
 
The Hitler comment was an insinuation and was inappropriate as you see. Unless you want to continue to discuss Obama, Hoodies, Black Panthers, Rev Racist from Chicago, Black Lives Matter, The Nation of Islam and Louis and a long list of the lost left associations we should probably move on. 👍

Black people have been targeted. I don’t think the police can be seen as innocent people who were just doing their job and somehow got caught up. Police officers have abused their power. Now, did Obama say the right words? No he didn’t but we cannot say, cops are free of any wrongdoing.
 
I couldn’t either, I don’t use discussion forums to be insulting to others.

I would say the same for “any racist salute” including ones that are a reality and not a figment of ones imagination. I guess we have to dance around with this a bit more. 🙂

Yes, Nazis, the Holocaust, etc. are often misused and applied illegitimately to current affairs. I’m extremely reticent to make such analogies normally. That said, the desire to block all Syrian refugees who are Muslim while allowing those who are Christian is eerily similar to proposals offered by Hitler. That’s one reason why his name is placed alongside Hitler’s so often currently. If the shoe fits, Trump has to wear it. If it doesn’t, he should explain why the public should see a difference in these policies. Or I suppose he can just let the image of him as Hitler hang out there. That’s another way to go.

IDK, IDK. If it were purely up to me, I’d make Kasich the nominee rather than either the first or second place candidates. But it seems like at this point voters (and poll participants) have made it clear that they don’t want him. I think we ought to respect that by supporting either Trump or Cruz (and hopefully you know my feelings on that choice :)).

P.S. Come to think of it, it would be nice to find a poll that tells whether very much Trump supporters would take Kasich as their second choice. But I’m doubting that such a poll exists.
