His present actions tell you that he believes PP is a phenomenal organization that has helped millions and millions of women. He could tell you story after story about all the women that have reached out to him about this. I’m pro-choice and I promise you that I know another pro-choicer when I see/hear one.
Ah, there ya go.🙂

He said no funding of PP until they get out of the abortion business. Many, many times.

Clinton was going to be the Democratic nominee in 2008, Carter was defeating Reagan in 1980, I think even McCain Palin were on top vs. Obama/Biden in 2008, Carson was a top contender in December, 2015. All of this from polls.

If Rubio wants to be a future governor of Florida, some even question if it could be damaging to not have a strong showing in a home primary. All of this is to be considered.

Yep, I hear it too - I have been surrounded by prochoicers all my life. Wink and a nod. Wink and a nod. It is odd why the Democratic/moderate/independent fondness for Trump is never questioned by his ‘conservative’ wing supporters. Scott Brown, etc. Planned Parenthood has done great things - and this after the videos.

The Dems talk about Cruz like he is some sort of a devil coming to take away their rights over their bodies, to destroy civilization as we know it under Obama. 😃 Trump is ‘more moderate.’ Wink wink.

Though I am glad the Dems are starting to knock this off - now that Trump is a more serious threat to win the nomination. Though I doubt they think he is prolife. And of course they hate Cruz more.

I have voted for the pro-life candidate in all races except for one time in 1988.

If need be, I will vote for who gives life a chance. His statement can also be interpreted as a way to get the most votes over the complete electorate, not just the Republican Party; this is why Trump is running into problems now.

Thank you for your opinion. I also have my opinion based on experience.

Oh, I know that, believe me - being in the latter category. Cats and dogs. Kangaroos and frogs. But don’t you wonder why they prefer him over Cruz or the others. I would like to hear a reasoned, in depth analysis of the difference between them and why Trump is superior. That has not yet happened.
Here is a more in-depth piece from a former Cruz supporter who now supports trump. Maybe more in line with what you were looking for.

politijim.com/2016/03/why-jesus-would-endorse-trump-and-why-i.html

Some highlights of the article:

(paraphrasing) Cruz gears himself to a very narrow group of people and comes off as bible-thumping, holier-than-thou. Will not be able to win in general election.

" The basement is invested with rats, cockroaches and termites… What is needed is someone who won’t any longer allow the media or the RINO/DEM big government cabal to stop us from passing obscene budgets, terrible trade deals and keeping the borders open like FOX, the Speaker of the House Paul Ryan and the George Bush infrastructure that runs Ted’s campaign want to do."

The article is very detailed and gives criticism of Trump as well. It was written by a person with religious conviction and who worked hard for Cruz’s senate campaign.

I think it’ll give you a very good idea of why people choose trump over cruz.

Oh, believe me, I know what’s he’s said. I just don’t believe for one skinny minute that he means it. But maybe you’re right. Or maybe I’m right. I’d say that we’ll see when he assumes the office of POTUS, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

When he first said it, I thought it was strange. Then I realized he completely neutered the ***War on Women ***meme as an attack dog in the General Election. He can redirect funds from PP to GQHC clinics without the same backlash.

All good points, FC. I will not argue against them!

Thanks. Bernie Sanders is of course another good option on the trade stuff. 😉 (joke)

I am still Rubio - I will go Cruz or Kasich if needed after March 15. I agree that Cruz will be tough to elect - it could go either way. But I honestly believe Trump would go down in flames. The polls support this; this is not just me.

I believe HRC when she says she supports a woman’s “right to choose”. In any circumstance.
And I guess the little baby girl, by some odd logic, is the only female that does not have the right to choose.

There are videos which show Trump has had many conservative ideas for decades, there is a picture of Trump with Dutch and Trump with liberals, so he has had friends on both sides.

Reagan signed some sort of abortion bill in California, but Reagan became the most pro-life president.

Trump also took out a full page ad in the NY Times or something some years back per his conservative ideology, wanting to strengthen the nation’s security or something. I saw the story, I don’t bookmark every story like that because, I myself, do not fill like I’ve got to get back up for his positions. He also saved a Vets parade in NY when it had no funds and that was years ago as well.

I would only have you vote your conscience and your beliefs, PF. Clearly, you are a thoughtful participant in all of this. And you are correct about that whole jiggle game between one’s party and the general electorate! If Donald Trump wants to wrap up his nomination, he needs to double down on his conservative-ness for the next two weeks.

RWR did, indeed, pass the then most open pro-abortion legislation in the country. He said it was one of his greatest regrets.

I have no problems with anyone voting for Mr. Trump. His record is certainly exceedingly public!

I myself find it difficult to believe that I really know where he stands on issues that matter to me.

My only point is, as a Democrat, I would MUCH rather have Trump in the White House than Cruz. (not that I believe either of them will beat my girl come November!)

HRC may be a lot of things. A girl is not one of them. Or at least for 70 years:D

I will follow my own counsel, having voted for every pro-life candidate, state and federal, for over 30 years except perhaps for Dukakis in that election, '88 or '90, and not being as tuned in to the pro-life movement back then but still pro-life, I have no problem with voting for Trump if he is the nominee in the General Election. I wonder too, if some of the criticism of Trump is likewise backed up by those with relatively solid pro-life voting records or activities and are not just using this to slam the man. I’m not concerned about the man but the best way to save life. Jesus does not tell us to doubt our fellow man.

The partial birth abortion types on the left are all much worse.

I am not a single-issue voter, but I am primarily for one issue over the others.
I love how you will give Trump the benefit of the doubt. And ignore troubling words he says. But you are not willing to extend the benefit of the doubt to fellow Catholics.

For the Record. I have a pro life record. Since I was Catholic I always voted for the pro life option except for one time when both parties were pro choice. The governor was a crook I wanted him out and the other person at lest supported some restrictions.

Oh and I just don’t vote for pro life I donate my spare time to the cause too.

I have Been concerned about the rhetoric the GOP was taking towards others last cycle and well now you have a canidate doing racial dog whistles.

Enough is enough. The Democrats are bad but that does not make the Republicans good. I have compromised and compromised even though I disagreed with the GOP on a lot things like social programs. But there is a point when you stop voting for bad and I think Mr. "I have to research David Duke and the KKK is the great place to start.

I am sorry but associating with Donald Trump could do great overwhelming damage to us.

There’s an organized and concerted effort to smear and hobble Donald Trump, and because of this normal standards of decency don’t apply. He’s tremendously unpopular, hated actually, by Neoconservatives, many Jewish groups here and abroad, the Republican Party leaders, etc., and as a result he’s being labelled a “Nazi.” Which, of course, is the most poisonous epithet any politician could ever be labelled with. There’s actually a Facebook “Assassinate Donald Trump” page, too. Somehow that doesn’t violate any “community standards,” while apparently being Christian sometimes does. I say “sometimes” because I’ve always carefully and completely avoided Twitface and Mybook and all those sorts of idiotic surveillace/social engineering schemes, and so I’m a little unclear about how accurate the charges of they’re anti-Christian policies are.

Anyway, this kind of “let’s assassinate Donald Trump” talk is the perfect cover for an actual assassination.

Whether a patsy has already been chosen is anyone’s guess.
