Not exactly on topic, but then what is, Fox is running town halls tonight, an hour with each candidate.
Well now, that depends. If they make the headline “A town hall with Donald Trump, plus three anti-Trump town halls”, then it’s on topic.

Came across a wonderful commentary written by editor of First Things R. R. Reno. He doesn’t seem like a trump supporter but writes candidly about how Trump is bring about change to the election process and to how we view things.

A great read! Hope you will enjoy this. By the way, the website www.firstthings.com itself has a plethora of good essays on religion, education, and society at large.

Yes, I like Kasich more and more. He is really good on all the issues.
I don’t think so. Instead of talking about how he will bring about peace to the people suffering in Ukraine, he only talks about supplying them with more and more weapons, which will have the result of prolonging the civil war and increasing and exacerbating the terrible suffering, the horrible bloodshed, the killing and the moaning and crying of children who have lost their parents in the war. More killing, more bloodshed, more arms and legs lost, more eyes lost, more innocent children maimed for life is not the answer. The answer is in promoting peaceful resolution of the war by diplomacy or binding arbitration.

Yeah unfortunately Putin could care less about… “the result of prolonging the civil war and increasing and exacerbating the terrible suffering, the horrible bloodshed, the killing and the moaning and crying of children who have lost their parents in the war. But yes I heard about the Nato support and arming Ukraine which is disappointing.

:dancing::extrahappy::egyptian::choocho::whackadoo:

I think Carly said she actually had voted already in a primary and she voted for Cruz,

Carson has not endorsed anyone from what I understand but had positive words for Trump; some said it was an endorsement on Hannity but there has been no such story.
Right early voting already started which ends Sat. Trump is killing them and will probably win by a 15-20% margin.

Sorry, don’t get your point. They have each candidate separately for an hour and the questions are by those in the audience. In the case of Kasich, which I saw, the questioners all seemed to be undecided voters.

Right, actually he sounded pretty good, honest too about the gang issues and how to address the issue, education etc. Rubios campaign is a mess, he seriously regrets the attacks on Trump.

I am a Trump supporter. My father is a Trump supporter. We both went to war for this country. My father spent 40 years in the private sector maintaining this thing we like to call the phone system. I have spent the last 20 years in the Army and toiling away doing national-security and law-enforcement issues for the federal government. Just what exactly have any of the people saying these things ever done for the country? Where do they feel entitled to say these things? And more importantly, why on Earth do they think it is helping their cause?
I don’t want to be associated with a movement that calls other Americans bums and welfare queens because they support the wrong candidate. If I wanted to do that, I would be a leftist.
Perhaps none of this means anything to you,

That’s what happens when you go out of character. Trump can get away with that kind of talk, Rubio can’t.

I agree, I think he is one election shy which many suggested early on and I was reluctant to accept, it appears to be so though. 🙂

It would stop immediately if Russia withdrew its forces and arms from Ukraine. Kasich is not responsible for what’s happening in Ukraine. Putin is.

One is curious. Among those who favor Putin’s seizing parts of Ukraine, where, exactly do they want him to stop? Just east of Kiev, perhaps? At Poland’s border? Perhaps at a “buffer zone” line 100 miles east of the German border? Perhaps at the Atlantic?

Thats the Rust Belt issue with manufacturing and jobs and blue collar work. These people are tired of the same old same old. They want to go to work and not hear the Obama cooked book stories about how things are fine and hope is coming. Not true and peoples are rightfully tired especially in these areas hit the hardest.

Is there any Republican Presidential candidate left with substance? I don’t see it if there is. There certainly isn’t a President Reagan or Senator Goldwater.
Would you really want a Goldwater? Isn’t Trump close enough?

CNN meets Trump’s Butler. Didn’t quite go as expected.
Rush Limbaugh analyzes the exchange:

rushlimbaugh.com/daily/2016/03/10/carol_costello_meets_trump_s_butler

“You should have seen this. It was clear to me that somebody thought that this guy was gonna be dishing dirt. And whenever an anchor has to pause for four seconds formulating the next question, it means they’re shocked or stunned by what they got in the answer. They weren’t expecting it, and they don’t know where to go next.”

When invited to trash Trump, the Butler said,

“Yeah. I tell you, first of all, he’s an incredibly generous person. He’s been generous to his employees. He’s generous to strangers.; He’s an entirely nice guy. He’s not the great, gruff person that people play him out to be. Sure, you attack him, he’s gonna fight back. But most of the time, he’s just a nice man. I mean, I lasted with him for 20 years. He had to be pretty good.”

Kasich is not responsible for what’s happening in Ukraine.
Kasich speaks about inflaming the Ukrainian situation and pouring more and more weapons into the region, which will have the result of more bloodshed and more innocent children dying or losing an arm or a leg. I am not interested in supporting this type of mentality. I am interested in supporting someone who promotes peace and good will among all people in Ukraine.

Well, I guess if Ukraine cedes eastern Ukraine to Russia and if Russia doesn’t want to seize any more of Ukraine than it already has, you would have a point. But at this point, Ukraine does not seem willing to give more territory to Russia, and there is no definite point at which Ukraine knows Russia will stop seizing territory.

If the U.S. gives military hardware, boots, socks, MREs, etc to Ukraine, then possibly Ukraine will be in a better position to defend itself against Russian aggression. It hardly seems to me that simply rewarding an aggressor with inaction is an appropriate policy, particularly since we don’t know that Ukraine will acquiesce in Russian seizure of more of its territory even without American aid.

It looks to me like Kiev is the aggressor as it is committing economic genocide against the people living in east Ukraine, by cutting off their pensions. Innocent women and children have been starving to death as a result of Kiev’s genocidal policies. I would support a peaceful and diplomatic settlement of the civil war, not more bloodshed and starvation as would result from what Kasich is proposing. Why doesn’t Kasich talk about peace and a peaceful solution in the region? No, he only wants more weapons and more war.
