A man or woman can meet someone. who is great to talk to, and I mean you run the battery down on the phone talking and laughing enjoying conversation…having the same hobby…liking the same movies…music etc…etc…
This person could also be very physicaly attractive. The persons good qualities could be of the charts…however there may be spiritualy bad qualities that could be of the charts as well. You may see the person having to much to drink for example. Or you may see a wild side come out. Because of the persons many good traits, some chose to ignore things that can cause problems down the road.
This is true, and a word to the wise.
In working and dealing with young firefighters in my career, I saw them make many mistakes in this area. Often bringing home very attractive women only to find out they can’t live with them a year later. Because I was married a long time, and in the twilight of my career they often came to me, “Lieutenant, my wife is suddenly acting crazy.” When in reality she is acting no differently then she did on day one.
But because of her physical side, they glossed over some her other attitudes and traits. Lets face it, most attractive women go through life, with a different set of rules then everybody else, it is what it is. Not their fault, a secualr society has made it that way.
I mean they get out of tickets, first in line, they get clerks to help them at Wal Mart, they can get a job typing 40 wpm when it requires 60, and on and on LOL.
I suggest recognizing your core principals and stand by them. Do not compromise on them, whatever they maybe. It could religion, how she handles money, her outlook on children, any number of things. Make a list of those things while you are NOT in a relationship (clear thinking) and don’t compromise on them, because if you do, it will cause you problems later, don’t dismiss them because of the physical side, that won’t be enough to hold the relationship together in tough times, which are sure to come.
Minor things are not a deal breaker, but enough of them added up
are. Too many are hard to overcome.
A poster mentioned earlier she married a guy only to find out he’s a alcholic. Do what? I don’t know how that happens.
In the end you can’t be 100% sure, but just make a decesion based on your core of beliefs, it will give you something to work with. When you match in these key areas, it will help in rough times, which are sure to come
