Some on the fringes mischaracterize Pope Benedict making him someone he never was. He was a holy Pope and is a loyally obedient to Pope Francis.

On the ultra-right fringe of the Church, very much so.

While they are a much smaller group than “Trump Truthers,” it’s my experience that people who believe one insane conspiracy are likely to believe others. I would expect most “Bene-vaticanists” are also “Trump Truthers.”
