Tucker: America is splitting into two before our eyes

Published on May 15, 2020

Some states are using science to guide their decisions and cautiously beginning to relax their lockdowns. But power-drunk politicians in the other half of the country are tightening their lockdowns even now. #FoxNews #Tucker

The CDC guidelines and the science was not followed when states opened. So how can anyone be accused of following science that chose to open?

This is the Trumpsters’ tactic of creating confusion by talking about up being down and down being up.

It’s well known that the places that are opening are doing it for political/economic reasons, not reasons that are supported by science.

Hey I got an idea.

Why don’t you explain “the science” of keeping worshippers of Jesus away from community worship in their cars?

Just think. You can unpack “the science” right here and now on CAF, and really put those “Trumpsters” in their place once and for all!

You can show 'em how anti-scientific they are.

Then you can really drive the nail into the coffin by showing em how a guy becomes a gal one day, then with “gender fluidity”, can go back to being a guy the next.

You are really going to show those guys how unscientific they are now.

I’m curious about the science behind how buying seeds and paint from a store in Michigan puts a person more at risk of getting the virus than lottery tickets.

I’m also curious about the science that states when at a beach, staying on wet sand is safe, but staying on dry sand is risky.

Also, are governors and mayors by virtue of their position, automatically immune from coronavirus? Just curious since a number of them don’t follow their own rules. What is the science behind that?

The astute reader will remember that I said it was indefensible that drive in church services were not allowed when a drive in restaurant serving food was operating just down the road.

Also, I’ve said many times in the family forum over the years that life is not a Lou Reed song.

Aargh. Edited to change Lou Rawls to Lou Reed.

I really think the split has been in existence for a good number of years. Remember the contract with America days. That’s when it started to really ramp up. The two party system began to really show it’s fault (literally) lines. This pandemic became a political issue to no surprise to me.

Some.
Some states have reduced new cases to very low low numbers for a period of time and are aligned with CDC guidelines in their re-opening.

Thing is this probably won’t be enough to restore the economy to its pre-virus state. Of course there’s a crisis coming anyway, but lots of restaurants and other businesses that require the public to have access to their building are basically finding that there’s no point in opening under the restrictions. They might only be able to seat half the normal amount of customers, for example.

I like the reference to the pre-virus state.
The economy especially in travel and hospitality industries will suffer until we are beyond the threat of outbreaks. With each reduction in mitigation requirements the picture will improve, but there will be a lingering impulse to avoid risk.

Well of course they are…more the economic than the political, of course. Nobody closes or opens his business for the sake of science, and medical science does not concern itself with losing your business and going broke.
