During my time off chemo and on our family vacation to Ireland, the liver tumors decided to grow:mad: This causes pain and fevers and other fun stuff like that. But that should only be temporary since I begin a new chemo regimen this Tuesday the 24th. It’s supposed to be strong stuff and that’s what it’s going to take to get rid of this nasty disease.

I don’t regret the trip to Ireland, it will be memories of a lifetime for my family. We did stop at the holy shrine of Our Lady of Knock (in Co. Mayo) which is a Church-approved site of an apparition. I had been there before, but this time it seemed more personal.

I think my prayers and state of mind have changed from “God please let me live” to “Ok God, whatever you want” I know that the latter is a better attitude towards God, but it also sort of feels like I’m giving in. I’m not giving in, I want to live to raise my girls and be with my wife, but I think anything other than saying God’s will be done, is wrong.

If I am wrong about any of this, please correct me - I’m the guy who didn’t even think it was ok to ask for prayers!:confused:

For so many years you bore in your own flesh this cancerous disease that destroys the very fiber of our being. You turned to God when the power of human beings could do no more, and you were favored with the vision of Jesus coming down from His cross to heal your affliction. I now ask God to heal these sick persons whom I entrust to you:

You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into TIM’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen
