Update:

Today March 8 was my first day of Chemo and Radiation treatment that will last 6 weeks. Everyone seems surprised that I’m not sick, but I’m sure there’s time for that!

This illness has brought me back to more serious prayer including the rosary - even if I need help from the recorded versions on my ipod! :o

I am staying optimistic even though I have seen the CT of my liver and I know how bad it looks. The anal tumor will be killed easily (they say) but the liver is another story.😦

This morning I invoked (if that’s the word) the “servant of the Lord” Archbishop Fulton Sheen in prayer. There is a movement to make him a saint, and he has crossed paths with my life a few times in strange ways. This was hard for me to do because this is a part of my religion I have never fully grasped. Again, just like when I started this thread and I felt selfish asking for prayers, but this time I’m asking for a miracle! Isn’t that a big, huge, arrogant, selfish thing to do? (or desperation?) And, of course, if it doesn’t happen, won’t I always blame the weakness of my own faith?

Also, after resisting (mostly) since May 2008, I began “talking” to my dad who died then. We were very close. And since he died people would always say - ask your dad for help!" But again - this is part of our faith I don’t quite understand.

So back to you living, breathing humans - I’m alive and kicking and asking you to pray for me! I have two young daughters and would like to raise them if it’s God’s will!

(((((((((Tim)))))))))))-this journey of Faith you are on will have many rewards- all of them miracles…I told you before about my sisters journey with throat cancer- I hope you will follow through on getting a jug of spring water blessed and drink it-visualize yourself being filled with God’s healing light and the tumors disappearing…she was never ill from the chemo either((hugs))…there is a book available now that will help you and your family through this-however it turns out…and there are two miracles so far associated with it- my sister is one of them…you can find it at stores.lulu.com/GodsGallery Bishop Sheen was a favorite of mine growing up and the words to his song echo in my ears often…“and if everyone lit just one little candle-what a bright world this would be…” asking him and the Blessed Mother along with your ((dad)) and other loved ones in spirit and saints who have gone before for intercession onyour behalf is exactly the way to pray- I’m a firm believer in being a “squeaky wheel” when petitioning God for a miracle-do so in Jesus’ name…all prayers are heard…May God’s love enfold you and your family at this time (((Tim))- and grant you the strength to endure and the peace in your heart knowing God will see you through this…((((((hugs))))))) God Bless

You have my prayers and yes, it is so hard waiting. (I’ve been there before) God spoke clearly to me because I was fearful. Through the Holy Spirit I heard " I can’t work through your fear, only your faith". Trust is a hard thing, but so necessary. I will keep you in my prayers!
Lord bring the peace that can pass understanding -hold my brother. Bring him comfort and help him see You in this. Send your Holy angels to minister to him through this all. I ask in the holy name of Jesus, our Lord. Amen!
