Karl Keating:
I watch TV with the power turned off. I find it’s better for the mind.
this works very well.
i do a lot more reading, am able to competantly play 3 instruments & my spirit is more at ease with life.
occasionally i do watch christian movies.

We own TV’s but I don’t watch it because there is nothing worth watching on the networks that I get. I don’t get EWTN or any local Catholic networks. My husband is usually glued to his, but I only turn on MY TV when I need news or weather and turn it off as quickly as possible. I would much rather spend time with my kids - so that’s what I do!! :dancing:

I just officially gave my tv over to my brother. (it even had a DVD & VCR built in).
If I want to watch DVD’s , I’ll use my compter…AND EWTN Too! Other than that, I;m DONE with TV!

I read while my channel surfs, and look up every now and then when there is something I can actually watch. We both agree that finding something worthwhile is getting harder and harder. He usually ends up on the history channel, the Discovery channel, Food Network or some type of fishing program.

Personally, I will never give up my EWTN, and I can only get this through my satellite. I have learned so much and have truly been inspired by what I have seen on that valuable network. But I do believe that what goes into the mind comes out in some form, which can include television, books, etc. We are the ones in control of that.

I agree. I love EWTN and I watch a lot of news especially with the war going on.

I only watch my dvds and vhs tapes. Simple don’t trust regular and cable tv due to their content.
