TV programming that does not support abortion

My main problem with Netflix nowadays is I’m not interested in most of their original content, they’re always pulling existing movies from their lineup, and lately they’ve taken to censoring stuff they’ve decided is offensive, way after the fact. It’s honestly not that good value for money.

A lot of their stuff is remakes. They had a remake of MST3K and a remake of Anne of Green Gables and a remake of One Day at a Time. I liked the originals, thanks. And they also have a ton of programs about teens and about gay relationships, neither of which subjects interest me.
Occasionally there’s a good true crime series but the last two were sensational like reality TV and I knew the stories already.

Well it’s factually true- but it wasn’t really a smear on Trump. My point was that the OP was saying we should reject Netflix etc because of evil activities supported by the company and then suggested Trump should create a show we could support. I was challenging the notion that “conservative media” = good and “liberal media” = evil.

My point was that I can enjoy Netflix and the OP can enjoy a hypothetical Trump show - and enjoying neither is necessarily sinful. The OP seemed to be saying that enjoying Netflix is automatically wrong while enjoying a hypothetical Trump show is automatically good.
I doubt if he appeared undressed in some movie. Maybe if we had the name of the movie, we could look it up.

No, not undressed. As I understand it he had a cameo but not in the sexual action so to speak.

Anything that your worldview doesn’t support. You can’t live in a bubble. At some point you will be confronted with the opposition.

We are exposed to wrong views everyday. If your faith is strong, you won’t have to worry about what views the media you consume supports.

Hello everyone. We were about to sign up for Netflix because the movie theaters are shut down. However, someone told us that Netflix supports abortion.

Does anyone know of a movie and TV service like Netflix that does not support abortion?
Why can’t we have news and entertainment media that does not support all this crap?
I wish a billionaire conservative would start a conservative news and entertainment network.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks.
You do realize, though, that the chances are overwhelming that the device you used to post on CAF, the software it runs on, and / or the service through whom you purchase Internet access, are or are linked corporately to donors to Planned Parenthood. This just proves the point made by others about the difficulty in finding entities totally free from such relationships.

If your faith is strong, you won’t have to worry about what views the media you consume supports.
True. I don’t really know of anything that could challenge my faith. I have encountered almost every evil that exists in my lifetime. As far as I know there is nothing that could take me away from the Eucharist and rosary.
My main concern is to limit the empowerment of the liberal agenda as much as I can. I know it is not completely possible to stop the liberal progressive movement but, we can slow it down.

You become what you immerse yourself in. Even if your faith is as strong as you think, why would you subject it to constant bombardment and attack? That’s just absurd. Is it not written that ones mind should be set on heavenly things? How better to prepare for the occasions when “strong” faith is truly tested!

And what of those who are still growing in faith? What of those whom are tender and in need of nurturing? Would you have such lambs encircled by wolves?

One can minimize negative exposure more than you would have us think. And why should one give up trying? Because one is too bored to give up exposure to filth? C’mmon man… we can do better.

It’s unfortunately hard to avoid. EWTN most certainly does not support abortion.

I know. Thanks for the concern. I ,personally, don’t care to watch much TV anymore. I do like to watch Last Man Standing and Fox news. When Walking Dead comes on I watch that. I enjoy post apocalyptic science fiction dramas. I’m a science fiction fan.

That runs deep in my soul and I don’t think many on CAF would care to know about why I would allow this. It involves private revelation and that is not considered to be a valid religious or philosophical argument. Basically you can’t have a top without a bottom. We live in cycles and the negative is just as important as the positive. Sounds pagan but, I find God in it. Besides, I believe I am heavily guarded by angels.
That’s just absurd. Is it not written that ones mind should be set on heavenly things? How better to prepare for the occasions when “strong” faith is truly tested!
My mind is fully engaged in Heavenly things. This is my pivot point in the heart, mind, and soul for everything I do.
And what of those who are still growing in faith? What of those whom are tender and in need of nurturing? Would you have such lambs encircled by wolves?
I’m glad parents are concerned about what children watch. I am not closely involved with children. My nieces and nephews are monitored carefully by their parents. They are not allowed to watch anything for adults. I love wolves. I wish we would not use that metaphor.

I’m always striving upward to God. I do entertain moving into the country to eliminate electronic media. If it is God’s will.
Because one is too bored to give up exposure to filth?
I never get bored. I don’t watch sex scenes. I don’t like foul language.
Violence is sometimes tolerable. I don’t want to watch violence toward children and women.

Though EWTN does not support abortion, they have their own issues.

If anyone has suggestions for any of Formed’s shows, I’d welcome hearing about it.
I really enjoyed one video in the series: Presence, the Mystery of the Eucharist. The one I liked was hosted by Tim Gray, I think it is the fourth video, about the biblical basis. I think his series on the gospel of Mark is nice, too.

If you’re looking for basic faith instruction, the Symbolon series is good and they have it, plus you can download the workbooks that go with it. Our parish has used it with RCIA and it is orthodox.

EWTN has some good special programs/movies… “Romero” is excellent and a few other religious movies from time to time. They have some cartoon feature I think, on St. Peter and St. Paul early tomorrow morning. It is set to be recorded.

I think for whatever reason, maybe the research labs are exhausted with supply of fetal tissue there less need of it and it seems like people are able to realize they dont want it anymore and are not being as suppressed to speak out and be heard and thats a blessing for all of us. I think this is going to lead to more and more of the kind of entertainment we want to see because the media was hard pushing behavior that was leading toward unwanted pregnancys…the media creators create what people want to see…
