I often follow Trumps twitter account and others. I noticed that there is a vile picture on his twitter page.

Has anyone else noticed a change to his page and tweets?

Check the World News forum. If it involves Trump, they will talk about it there.

I noticed that there is a vile picture on his twitter page.
Are you sure you’re looking at his real page, and not an imitation?
I just looked, and there’s the same photo of him that’s been there a long time, and a picture of him speaking to a crowd. As much as I don’t like the man, I wouldn’t call either one “vile.”

Thanks for your responses. I often like to read the real comments by people so I get the exact comment or quote. I did not realize but that there was a video on the page and when I clicked on the side near the video (off white part) I got all the links to the comments on the video itself and they were vile.

The same happens for any tweet, if you click on it, you get responses and all the vile pictures.

I understand twitter better now so when looking for an exact quote I will not click on it.

i’m not a fan of twitter but do check for exact quotes from different people. There is a lot of he said/she said,

They changed their format i believe where you once had to click a reply/replies button to get comments. According to.Internet news sites, twitter is currently adding new changes.

The video was interesting. It was on Amazon 10 billion dollar deal with the Pentagon

Verified twitter accounts have a blue check following it. There are many parody accounts though, not just for trump, but basically anyone famous.

There is also a trump twitter archive, that logs all his tweets, even the ones he deletes.

Twitter can be useful, and it can be a waste of time.

During times of disaster, twitter can give a “man on the ground” sort of real time reporting that helps us to see the incident from different points of view.

I appreciate the tweets from the USCCB, brief updates and encouragements.

It can also be used as a bully pulpit.

I don’t use it so my assessment is probably not worth much, but it seems to me Twitter is mostly a “Hey Look at Me” thing.

I use it to follow news feeds. I also for recipes and cooking tips. I follow food network, Nigella Lawson, and other chefs.

Basically the people I follow issue a tweet, then a link to an article, or a recipe.

Yes that’s what I’ve read, that it gives them a way to bypass the traditional gatekeepers of culture and news and say what they want to say, directly and without any editing, filtering or distortion by said gatekeepers.

Twitter ranks the responses so that supporters are mostly hidden. They started doing this after he was elected. Prior to the election he had massive engagement from his supporters that would overwhelm the leftist detractors. Twitter solved that “problem”.

I did not realize how pornographic his detractors replies were. I realized there would be language but not the visable images
Very disturbing to see on a social website.

Should be over 30,000 by now, I would think.
Probably…how I long for the days when lunatics would stand on a soap box in a public park, instead of being given credibility because of the electronic ability to reach more people.

Does that include us CAF lunatics as well? 😉
Of course…ALL of us (but especially, I guess it could be argued, the regulars in World News?)

I should probably say goodbye for a couple weeks now, because when the snowflakes start melting, there will be an uproar about the indignation I have placed on community members on that page!

My question is pornography allowed on Twitter because I certainly saw it and copied it? I thought twitter had a strict policy against pornography
