I think it is the social media entities just staying true to what they said they were going to do in the interest of the civic process.

Looking at his twitter stream now, there’s quite the number of tweets that have been flagged.

Social media has long thought they have control over what goes out. An example is Steve Bannon who now is banned. If people want to listen to Steve Bannon, who is Catholic then people have a right to listen.

They can’t take half a nation of 160 to 170 million and tell them who and what they are can read and watch.

Sigh, here on CAF I often see complaints of someone being suspended from some social media network while either not mentioning or minimizing the violated that lead to the suspended. It would be like saying that some individual is being persecuted by the state and thrown in jail without mentioning that individual was driving a vehicle, intoxicated, through a grocery store before getting arrested.

And as per usual, there is already a thread on Banon.

Making specific threats of violence or inciting violence is against the community guidelines. Stating that one would behead Fauci and FBI Director Christopher Wray, put their heads on pikes, and put those pikes on the whitehouse lawn as a warning to others are apparently violations of that.

YouTube also removed the episode of his podcast in which he said this after it was reported.

Indeed, they do. That right has not been infringed upon.While you are speaking of “rights” I think you may be overlooking “duties.” Who has a duty to facilitate communication with Bannon?

That’s a great way to inflate the numbers! Sharing a figure that has no attribution.

A survey from Pew research estimates that 22% of people in the USA use twitter ( source ). Not that even this subset were Banon “followers” in any sense of the word.

He won’t. Twitter has been cautious about suspending world leaders. The most they will do is delete a tweet (which is rare). They usually just add a warning and make the tweet ineligible for being in the primary timeline.

If the news and commentating networks didn’t report on them, most of us would have no idea what Trump tweeted ever.

If Twitter would stop banning his" tweets", we probably would not pay as much attention but still Twitter and Facebook think they can shut anyone up they want to.
