I listen to the video and it was about this drug and treatment. I agree if should be a decision for people especially people over age 60 who are sick. Let them decide.

It is over the counter in other countries so why limit the physician use.

Twitter has a policy against the distribution of content that could cause people harm. As of 2020 March 18 , this includes misinformation on COVID-19.

Twitter:
April 1, 2020
Broadening our definition of "harm"

We have broadened our definition of harm to address content that goes directly against guidance from authoritative sources of global and local public health information. Rather than reports, we are enforcing this in close coordination with trusted partners, including public health authorities and governments, and continue to use and consult with information from those sources when reviewing content.
  • We’ll continue to prioritize removing content when it has a clear call to action that could directly pose a risk to people’s health or well-being, but we want to make it clear that we will not be able to take enforcement action on every Tweet that contains incomplete or disputed information about COVID-19. This is not meant to limit good faith discussion or expressing hope about ongoing studies related to potential medical interventions that show promise.
  • Since introducing these policies on March 18, we have removed more than 1,100 Tweets containing misleading and potentially harmful content from Twitter. Additionally, our automated systems have challenged more than 1.5 million accounts which were targeting discussions around COVID-19 with spammy or manipulative behaviors. We will continue to use both technology and our teams to help us identify and stop spammy behavior and accounts.
  • We may also apply the public interest notice in cases where world leaders violate the COVID-19 guidelines.

Automated technology and what to expect if you file a report
How are we using automated technology during this time?
  • To help us review reports more efficiently by surfacing content that’s most likely to cause harm and should be reviewed first.
  • To help us proactively identify rule-breaking content before it’s reported. Our systems learn from past decisions by our review teams, so over time, the technology is able to help us rank content or challenge accounts automatically.
  • For content that requires additional context, such as misleading information around COVID-19, our teams will continue to review those reports manually.
What you can expect if you file a report during this time:
  • If you’ve reported an account or Tweet to us, it will take longer than normal for us to get back to you. We appreciate your patience as we continue to make adjustments.
  • Because these automated systems don’t have all of the context and insight our team has, we’ll make mistakes. If you think we’ve made a mistake, you can let us know and appeal here.

A video featuring a group of doctors making false and dubious claims related to the coronavirus was removed by Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube after going viral online Monday.

The video, published by the right-wing media outlet Breitbart News, featured a group of people wearing white lab coats calling themselves “America’s Frontline Doctors” staging a press conference in front of the US Supreme Court in Washington, DC.
[…]

During the press conference, a speaker who identifies herself as a doctor makes a number of dubious claims, including that “you don’t need masks” to prevent spread of the coronavirus, and that recent studies showing hydroxychloroquine is ineffective for the treatment of Covid-19 are “fake science” sponsored by “fake pharma companies.”

“This virus has a cure, it’s called hydroxychloroquine, zinc, and Zithromax,” the woman claims. “You don’t need masks, there is a cure.”

The claims run contrary to multiple studies on the anti-malarial drug and advice from public health officials to prevent spread of the virus.

A study found that neither hydroxychloroquine alone nor hydroxychloroquine plus azithromycin appeared to affect the condition of patients at the 15-day mark. Additionally, unusual heart rhythms and elevated liver-enzyme levels were more frequent in patients receiving hydroxychloroquine alone or with azithromycin, according to the study.
This entire thing might be summarized as “COVID-19 Misinformation video removed.”

From 7/23/20
As professor of epidemiology at Yale School of Public Health, I have authored over 300 peer-reviewed publications and currently hold senior positions on the editorial boards of several leading journals. I am usually accustomed to advocating for positions within the mainstream of medicine, so have been flummoxed to find that, in the midst of a crisis, I am fighting for a treatment that the data fully support but which, for reasons having nothing to do with a correct understanding of the science, has been pushed to the sidelines. As a result, tens of thousands of patients with COVID-19 are dying unnecessarily. Fortunately, the situation can be reversed easily and quickly.

I am referring, of course, to the medication hydroxychloroquine. When this inexpensive oral medication is given very early in the course of illness, before the virus has had time to multiply beyond control, it has shown to be highly effective, especially when given in combination with the antibiotics azithromycin or doxycycline and the nutritional supplement zinc.

On May 27, I published an article in the American Journal of Epidemiology ( AJE ) entitled, “Early Outpatient Treatment of Symptomatic, High-Risk COVID-19 Patients that Should be Ramped-Up Immediately as Key to the Pandemic Crisis.” That article, published in the world’s leading epidemiology journal, analyzed five studies, demonstrating clear-cut and significant benefits to treated patients, plus other very large studies that showed the medication safety.

Physicians who have been using these medications in the face of widespread skepticism have been truly heroic. They have done what the science shows is best for their patients, often at great personal risk. I myself know of two doctors who have saved the lives of hundreds of patients with these medications, but are now fighting state medical boards to save their licenses and reputations. The cases against them are completely without scientific merit.

Since publication of my May 27 article, seven more studies have demonstrated similar benefit. In a lengthy follow-up letter, also published by AJE , I discuss these seven studies and renew my call for the immediate early use of hydroxychloroquine in high-risk patients. These seven studies include: an additional 400 high-risk patients treated by Dr. Vladimir Zelenko, with zero deaths; four studies totaling almost 500 high-risk patients treated in nursing homes and clinics across the U.S., with no deaths; a controlled trial of more than 700 high-risk patients in Brazil, with significantly reduced risk of hospitalization and two deaths among 334 patients treated with hydroxychloroquine; and another study of 398 matched patients in France, also with significantly reduced hospitalization risk. Since my letter was published, even more doctors have reported to me their completely successful use.

Except, of course, off label treatments for abortion, gender “reassignment” surgery, hormonal treatments for childhood gender dysphoria, etc.

I’m not sure they are qualified to determine what causes people harm if they can’t even get the obvious cases right.

I think some of those items, while allowed for discussion, are marked as items that cannot be “promoted.” Ex: Someone can make a tweet about abortion, but they do not have the option of paying for that tweet to have higher visibility.

I’m not saying they exist, but I haven’t come across any tweets on treatments for child gender dysphoria to see how twitter reacts one way or the other. I have seen some of J.K. Rowling’s content making headlines though.

If this is to say that they will not do a perfect job of it, I agree. At best, all anyone can do is try.

Enjoyed Tim Poole’s video. He’s right about big tech companies. Hope something is done legally about their censorship.

As for the malaria pills, I’m convinced they provide benefit for those with the Wuhan virus. If I personally caught the COVID virus I’d not have an issue taking the malaria medication plus zinc.

The OP says their account was locked. This isn’t about promotion, but actual removal of content. From one of the OP articles (emphasis mine):
Facebook has removed a video posted by Breitbart News earlier today, which was the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, of a press conference in D.C. held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors and organized and sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots. The press conference featured Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) and frontline doctors sharing their views and opinions on coronavirus and the medical response to the pandemic. YouTube (which is owned by Google) and Twitter subsequently removed footage of the press conference as well.
I’m not saying they exist, but I haven’t come across any tweets on treatments for child gender dysphoria to see how twitter reacts one way or the other. I have seen some of J.K. Rowling’s content making headlines though.
I have seen Facebook posts and YouTube videos promoting exactly that. I could post links, but I’d prefer not to do so on a Catholic Forum. But you can find a Q&D with Phoenix Children’s Hospital or Michigan Medicine exactly promoting hormonal treatment for children and adolescents.
If this is to say that they will not do a perfect job of it, I agree. At best, all anyone can do is try.
This isn’t about not being perfect. It’s about their credibility in assessing what kind of content is dangerous or harmful.

Watch Live: Silenced Frontline Doctors Hold Capitol Hill Press Conference to Challenge Big Tech

AMANDA HOUSE

28 Jul 2020

American doctors are holding a Capitol Hill press conference on Tuesday “to address the censorship of [their] press conference” Monday by Facebook, YouTube/Google, and Twitter.

The event is being held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors and organized and sponsored by the Tea Party Patriots Foundation.

As Breitbart News reported Monday night: “Facebook has removed a video posted by Breitbart News earlier today, which was the top-performing Facebook post in the world Monday afternoon, of a press conference in D.C. held by the group America’s Frontline Doctors . . .

I see for now at least their website is already gone.

True. I think in several communities at large (technology, financial, travel, advertising, entertainment, and many more…) gender transition isn’t viewed as “harmful.” Thus I don’t think you will see much in actions that treat it as such. Throughout the jobs that I’ve worked over the past 20 years (technology, medical, and financial) the companies’ stances have been pretty clear, as we were all required to go through training that included a section on LGBTQ. I don’t know overall if it is the more popular position within the USA or not. But it is at least popular enough for it to have large companies backing it up. That might be better framed as a discussion on cultural views within the USA.

Just to make sure it is understood what “locked” means, when Twitter marks content as objectionable the account is in a temporarily locked status. When a user of the account logs in they will get a message that the content was marked as objectionable and they can “unlock” the account by deleting the content. Upon deletion, the account can continue to tweet.
It’s about their credibility in assessing what kind of content is dangerous or harmful.
From the statement that they have put out, it looks that their strategy is to get the (name removed by moderator)ut of local and global health sources.
I have seen Facebook posts and YouTube videos promoting exactly that.
I took a look at YouTube’s policies that may be applied to medical advice. I only found two things. There is a line about promoting dangerous substances as a remedy for medical problems, and then there is a page specifically about COVID-19 ( COVID-19 medical misinformation policy - YouTube Help). I did watch a Phoenix video that I think that you may have been referencing (SCPSPk77wKw), It was 44 minutes long. But the two parts on hormone therapy were in someone explaining what the therapy does and a response to another question about when a child has medical automy to make these decisions themselves. I didn’t see anything that appears to violate the policy that YouTube has published in the Phoenix video. A bit off topic, but YouTube is still currently fighting against a lawsuit with a claim of LGBTQ discrimination in the courts.

Hydrochloroquine is politically unacceptable because Trump once praised it. But lots of people did at the time.

And it’s still under study in Britain. The Lancet article saying it’s dangerous has been debunked.

Generally speaking, it would be better to wait for clinical trials to complete before making comment.

And it might have been even better to let medical professionals be the one to speak. It might have been less political that way.

I get the impression that this was just some PR stunt. Incidentally, Facebook, Google, and a few others are going to be meeting with some representatives tomorrow. The last time they were having such a meeting something happened just beofre it, and they got a lot of questions about the incident that happened before. I won’t be surprised if this makes its way into the meetings.

The web site for this organization only existed for 12 days. Past tense. Their Square Space web page is now gone.

Can’t tell if SquareSpace took it down, or if this “group” took it down, or what happened…
ovarian cysts are caused by sex with demons
I’m almost curious as to how she “learned” that and what other things might be in the wealth of knowledge from which it was pulled. But sometimes it is better not to put useless or harmful information in one’s head.

Here is the censored information you are not supposed to see for those interested . . .

Here is some of the response and more information.

Addendum. Within an hour or two of when I first warned you above, videos 1 and 3 were censored.

Video 2 still appears to be up, but that will be gone soon too I suspect.

Top medical org demands FDA make COVID treatment hydroxychloroquine more widely available

Recent evidence shows the drug to be effective and to drastically reduce the mortality rate in countries where the medication is used.

Thu Jul 23, 2020 - 4:55 pm EST

Calvin Freiburger LifeSiteNews

July 23, 2020 (LifeSiteNews) – The Association of American Physicians & Surgeons (AAPS) has submitted additional evidence to the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) and Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in hopes of compelling the agency to relax its restrictions on the use of hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) to treat COVID-19 among the general public. . . .

This week, AAPS followed up by submitting to the court additional evidence of the drug’s safety and effectiveness.

. . . “Countries with underdeveloped healthcare systems are using HCQ early and attaining far lower mortality than in the United States, where (HHS and the FDA) impede access to HCQ.”

“The mortality rate from COVID-19 in countries that allow access to HCQ is only one-tenth the mortality rate in countries where there is interference with this medication, such as the United States,” . . .

Several early studies showed promise as a COVID-19 treatment, but a May study published in The Lancet purported to not only find “no benefit” to using HCQ, but instead finding “decreased in-hospital survival and an increased frequency of ventricular arrhythmias,” leading several countries to ban it. However, that study was retracted upon the discovery that the company that provided its data was very likely fraudulent.

“The interference with public access to hydroxychloroquine is disrupting our political processes,” Schlafly said. . . .

What’s It Like To Have Covid-19? An Infected Doctor Speaks

Premiered Jul 21, 2020

What’s it like to actually have covid-19? On today’s video, Chris interviews Dr. Glenn DeSandre who is still recovering from the virus. While his case didn’t require hospitalization, Dr. DeSandre emphasizes it’s something you do not want to get. It’s not like the flu or a particularly bad cold – it’s something much worse. What makes this interview particularly interesting is Chris’ ability to really dive into the medical aspects with Dr. DeSandre, who is able to describe his experience more clinically than the average coronavirus sufferer.

Hydrochloroquine is politically unacceptable because Trump once praised it.
Jesuits call that the ‘post hoc’ fallacy. Don’t confuse an antecedent with a cause. Maybe the stuff just does not work.

Let’s try to move science away from politics.

The fact is there is disagreement among doctors and scientists regarding hydroxychloroquine.
It is neither a cure nor is it worthless. If a patient and doctor agree to use it, it should not be prevented.
I agree. I would add the caveat that patients currently on the medication for the known legitimate uses should have first dibs on supply, however. If supplies are plentiful then as long as the drug is tried with full awareness by both patient and doctor, it should be allowed. Full documentation should also be kept as well as follow up screens.
