Two days after 9/11 78% of Americans thought Saddam had something to do with the attacks according to a Washington Post poll (note prior polls at the bottom):

Could it be that Clinton and the Democrats had led us to believe Saddam was dangerous and capable of such a thing?

Excellent point 👍 and I admire President Bush for staying the course in Iraq. Saddam was indeed dangerous and very capable of mass destruction. The world is better off without him in power.

The GOP has rolled out this TV commercial featuring leading Democrats talking about Saddam and WMD as far back as the 1990s.
Yes, saying that because they had been deceived by the Administration.

IMO, Bush is desperate indeed to do anything to try to pull himself out of the hole he’s dug for himself where more and more of America have lost confidence in him and in his war.

President Bush is not a desperate man. He’s a true leader that pulled this country together after 9/11.

The Democrats looked at the same intelligence reports that President Bush did and arrived at the same conclusion. The world is a much better place without Saddam in power. Iraq is on the way to becoming a democracy. We are slowly and steadily winning the war against terrorists and that’s what the Democrats can’t stand.

**The Democrats are the desperate ones so they change their mind according to the polls. They desperately want to win the White House. Most Americans can see throug them and that’s exactly why they lost the election and they will continue loosing. 🙂 **

Isn’t the American press wonderful!! If you say it often enough, “they” will believe it. And as far as polls go, you can get any result you want, depending on the way you phrase the questions. Haven’t you been polled, and if you agreed to respond, did you come away thinking, “wait a minute, they did not give me the choice that would reflect my real opinion?”

“If said often enough, ‘they’ will believe it,” eh? All the polls are wrong, Mary? Bush really has an 95% approval rating, but the MSM is lying and keeping that from the public? Hmmmm:hmmm:

This is some good smoke!! 😃

So are you guys saying that the Democrats lied as well as the Republicans??

They were either all lying, or they were all making their best assessments on the data available to them (GIGO). I’m guessing it was the latter.

Don’t believe I said the polls were wrong, did I? I discounted much of the polling for the reasons I mentioned. And by saying “Bush lied” often enough, a certain segment of the population will believe it–the segment that is not as well informed as you–and that is most of them.
