May 15, 2011:

“They’re going to come after me more viciously than they would a white candidate,” Cain responded. "You’re right. Clarence Thomas. And so, to use Clarence Thomas as an example, I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching that he went through – for the good of this country." Cain smiled broadly. "I’m ready for the same high-tech lynching."

Fear of a black man’s sexuality is a common theme in America, and very useful politically to bring up at this time.

A “five figure settlement” which also included their resignations? Chump change as such things go, possibly reflective of the believability of the charges. I have seen bigger settlements for resignation of dissenters alone, where there was no additional charge of misconduct at all.

What I want to know is, what exactly is a “physical gesture” that is NOT sexual in nature, that makes someone “uncomfortable”, in a “sexually harassed” manner???

That makes zero sense to me, and sounds a lot like digging dirt just to dig dirt.

I doubt you’ll be hearing that “exactly” explained to you here.

Do you suppose “nothing” happened and this was all a misunderstanding? Or a figment of the imagination, or would you say its “possible” something really happened? I’d love to see what the attorney fees were for that misunderstanding;)

Block: “Cain Has Never Sexually Harassed Anybody, Period. End Of Story”

Herman Cain Chief of Staff Mark Block tells NBC’s Chuck Todd that the anonymously sourced article by Politico claiming the presidential candidate sexually harassed former employees is “questionable at best.”

Mark Block on MSNBC’s “Daily Rundown” this morning: "Let me tell you that Herman Cain has never sexually harassed anybody, period. End of story. The only people who spoke publicly about the story in that article are the ones that were in the best position to know.

“They were the Chair, Vice Chair and immediate past chair of the National Restaurant Association during Herman Cain’s tenure. Yet all three – and all three said that he was a man of total integrity. Every negative word and accusation in the article is sourced to a series of unnamed or anonymous sources, and this is questionable at best. I am not personally aware of any cash settlement relating to sexual harassment charges to Mr. Cain.”

So if they signed something saying they would never discuss why they left, then they are either lying and it never happened or lying since they are discussing it after they said they wouldn’t, right?

I don’t see where anyone said the women were talking. It looks like it was people associated within the negotiations that spilled the beans.

Just breaking the legal contract. And in this situation the financial gain will probly be worth more than the legal cost.

Right, but don’t be surprized by the end of the week if they are.

Remember his campaign is just organizing. My guess is it caught the campaign off guard.
Well, one can deny that they harrassed somehow, but it is hard to deny that they accussed you of harrassment. That’s on record one way or another.

Well at least his campaign was caught off guard.

I would be more worried if they had seen this coming. It would have lent more integrity to the story.

And Clinton and Spitzer.
Amazing just how thoroughly money corrupts isn’t it. Its the root of all evil, some say. Truth is every candidate running is in someones pocket. Obama is the world history leader of being bought by Corporate enterprise. General Electric owns him.

I have become the worst cynic I know, so take this for what it’s worth. I personally believe all of our candidates have been picked for us. Romney, Obama, Bush, Clinton, Perry - all one and the same person with different variations. How else to explain that Obama, who ran on an anti-war policy, has completely followed in Bush’s footsteps, and in fact, more US soldiers have been killed since Obama took office than in the whole 8 years Bush was in office. We are now on the verge of even more wars, all this from a person who won the Nobel Peace Prize when he hadn’t done a single thing. Think he should give back that prize, or has he only done what he was suppose to do?

I don’t believe Cain was ever meant to be a serious candidate, hence he barely has a campaign put together. This is a way to get him out favor with the public and out of the race.

Don’t believe anything the media tells you.

And who owns General Electric?

Interesting theory.
Gives me even more reason to back Cain.

Cynic? Me too. I don’t believe they “all” come into the arena this way. But for example Ron Paul signed on with a Super-Group what last week? Lot of greed, lot of temptation out here.

Yes once in while a solid, ethical, moral candidate comes along. Its more like playing against the odds if you ask me.

They tell you anything you want to hear, obviously.
