Top USCCB executive John Carr held simultaneous leadership roles, creating a conflict of interest, with the USCCB and the radical Center for Community Change.
. . .]
John Carr is the USCCB executive director of the Department of Justice Peace and Human Development which oversees the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). He has been employed by the USCCB since 1987.
John Carr’s relationship with the Center for Community Change goes back at least to 1983, serving in leadership roles from 1999 to 2006 - including as chairman of the board. The Reform CCHD Now report details the organization’s promotion of abortion, “reproductive rights” and homosexuality as among the CCC’s core advocacy focuses.
In 2001, while Carr served as both a USCCB exec and CCC leader, the Catholic Bishops Conference funneled $150,000 to the pro-abortion group. The USCCB web site currently promotes the group and officials have spoken at CCC events.

NO chance that LifeSite might be mistaken, is there?

In any case, is it your opinion, or that of LifeSite, that members of sexual minorities should be DENIED equal rights under the civil law?

I’ll give away my age, but LifeSite and their pals at American Life League remind me of
McCarthyism. A few years ago I saw the movie “Six Degrees of Separation”. The point of it was that you can find 6 links that connect someone to almost everyone else. A lot of this would be like “I have a friend whose daughter has a child in a live in relationship with her boyfriend. The daughter has to work because the boyfriend doesn’t make enough money to support the 3 of them. My friend babysits so her daughter can work.”. Now, LifeSite hammers me because I associate with someone aiding and abetting an immoral
situation.

Your analogy doesn’t hold water. If the CCC supports abortion and homosexual behaviors then it is a scandal and the USCCB needs to clean house of any employees who harbor affiliations to anti-Catholic and anti-religion organizations. A person can’t serve two masters, as someone once said.

I looked at the CCC site and could find nothing contrary to Catholic teaching. Maybe if you click on enough links you can. BTW, I know a couple of gays who love Christ. What do we suggest we do with them?

What is a sexual minority?

Pray for them.

Speaking of McCarthyism, the fact is that homosexual activists are using the tactics of the old CP , which means infiltration. The CP even infiltrated the Catholic Church. Mc Carrhty wasn’t wrong; he was just a loud and clumsy presecutor and often hit the wrong targets and missed the big ones. Academia was full of marxists and many of them were communists.

What is a sexual minority?
Exactly. And who says anyone is denied any rights to begin with? First cousins might have no “rights” to marry each other, but that doesn’t mean that they have no equal civil rights to marry otherwise. Men and women who are single are free to marry whomever they want to of the opposite sex, so long as they are not closely related. There is no alienation of anyone’s civil rights.

Yechh!
Launched the Campaign for Community Values, a national effort to project the progressive values of interconnectedness and the common good into the political debate—and into public policies adopted by a new Administration and Congress.
. . . not the stuff of Catholicism, but of leftist ideologues, those who harp on divisiveness and class war, who preach hopelessnesss and oppression.

Tell them the Truth! This is what the bible tells us to do. The truth is that the homosexual act is an abomination to God - PERIOD.

As long as people shuffle their feet around and tell them, “oh it’s not your fault”, then this mess will only increase and increase.

You must speak the truth of God, not hide it, not water it down.

Thanks God for Michael.

and just to think that it is our money that they are using.

the scandals keep coming and bishops continue in their deceit by lying and cover ups instead of repenting.

they should busy themselves with searching the Truth which they have abandoned long ago.

they say they have no money to build beautifull temples for the Lord yet they are using our money to promote evil. it sure make sense. either you love the world or love God. i think by their fruits we can know who they love.

“Without truth, charity ends up in sentimentalism. Love becomes an empty shell, to be filled arbitrarily. It is the fatal risk of love in a culture without truth. It falls prey to the emotions and contingent opinions of the individuals, an abused and distorted word, to the point of signifying the contrary.” BXVI **

To denie oneself. Simple as that, we all suffer from sin and temptation. I love women and love sex, but I am not looking for the next hook up. It’s hard, but with the grace of God, I can defeat the temptations.

I am so tired of hearing about how we should change our beliefs to allow sinful acts be OK in the church! It’s insane and no one has the right to change one’s belief. If you want to live a gay lifestyle, then do it, but no need to have all of use believe that it’s a lifestyle acceptable to God.

Abortion is wrong period! I still can’t believe we have people who call themselves catholics and feel abortion should be allowed. Thank God for Michael and the web-site for all this info.
