I think they better drop the whole idea, it could potentially end the human race. Just think of the many scientific disasters which were supposed to do so much good. We are " wading " around in all kinds of radio active muck and it is getting worse every day and remember the experiment in crossing wild bees with honey bees? Well guess what, now we have killer bees on the loose in the U.S. and Latin America.
It actually started in America. In total, more than 60,000 people were forcefully sterilized in the US. Nazi Germany then “perfected” the idea of eugenics with 350,000 sterilisations before World War II.WOW, looks like we are following right in Hitlers footsteps, trying to create some kind of master race of superior beings, but I guess the old saying that goes, those who dont learn from the past are doomed to repeat it!!

Yes, I would bet this sort of thing has already been happening, the article isjust recognizing it.It actually started in America. In total, more than 60,000 people were forcefully sterilized in the US. Nazi Germany then “perfected” the idea of eugenics with 350,000 sterilisations before World War II.
It is good that scientists and ethicists get together and work on that problem. But can it be prevented from being misused? I doubt it.
I think the lack of notice and an appropriate outcry is due to a lack of promotion of science. The reasons are many, but too many people have been conditioned to accept ‘reality shows,’ stories about various celebrities and gossip as being more entertaining. Science is moving faster than ever. I grew up with the US space program and got my hands on anything having to do with sending a man to the moon and science in general. It was great stuff!I’m not confident that the human race will be more successful than the evolutionary process has been in this project. I predict two steps forward for evolution, one giant leap backwards for mankind. Deeply suspicious, this one. Where is the Christian outcry? Why the strange lack of attention? This kind of activity should be shouted about from our rooftops.
