After much pressure, Prime Minister Gordon Brown has allowed members of his Labour Party a “free vote” on an upcoming parliamentary bill regulating human embryo research or “chimeras”.

Hope you get plenty of answers on the thead. 🙂

**This hybrid business is just another step down the road to ruin. Unfortunately, people seem more taken with the potential good effects than with the evil means to to those effects (understandable as that is). But kudos to the Cardinal for speaking against it. 👍 👍 👍 **

**As for Blair, he’s unspeakable  - & not in a good way. He’s done an enormous amount to help the UK forward on the road to moral ruin, to enable sodomy, gambling, abortion, the break up of the family, & so forth. He is also known as “Bliar”, from his relaxed (very relaxed) relationship with the virtue of truthfulness. Imagine John Kerry in power, with less honesty, far less pro-life, & with much less respect for the Church’s Eucharistic discipline: & you have Tony Blair. If Kerry could be taken to bits on the forums as happened, far more can Blair. **

**None of that is off-topic, for without Blair the UK could not be as far advanced on the road to ruin as it is: he is not to blame for all its secularisation, but he has done much to assist it; the present demoralised state of UK politics would have been impossible but for his contribution: & all of that has prepared the way for this Bill: so he cannot escape taking blame for it. This Bill did not come out of nowhere - it is a side-result of the pro-abortion policies (& votes) of Blair 😦 **

**But at least we have Cardinal O’Brien - it’s just a pity that he can’t replace Murphy-O’Connor. **

**These things happen by one by one - but they are not isolated: they add up to an enormous & terrifying degradation of what would once have been taken as basic morality common to Christian, Jew, & “good pagan.” No longer. **
