I have looked back on the thread and tried to find an example of what you are saying, concerning Ridgerunner and YKohen, and I cannot find one. Feel free to point one out. I did finally stop responding to the arguments by YKohen saying that, based on our history, the Catholic Church does not advocate unconditional forgiveness. He obviously refused to believe what I was saying about our faith. Ridgerunner added a lot of great (name removed by moderator)ut to this thread and it turned out we were both thinking of forgiveness in the same way. I have a lot of respect for Ridgerunner, he has some great insights. I wish YKohen would forgive, but I understand a little about where he is coming from. I do not condemn him.Since I am a “reader” I will respond.
You have continually ignored points made by YKohen and Ridgerunner. I mean, blatently ignored their posts and continually remained on your tirade like someone placing their fingers in their ears and singing LaLaLa…
If that was the effect you were looking for, you succeeded.![]()
As far as the appearance of ignoring your posts, I am guilty. Please forgive me for not responding to yours, they did not seem to be conversation-starters, but more like sideline comments, so I did not know how to respond.
Given your description of my call for forgiveness as a “tirade”, it seems to me that you are feeling some resentment. I ask for your forgiveness, but you are not obligated to me to do so. Uh oh, I think I may have just added to my “tirade”.
Feel free to tell me what you are thinking on this topic. I think I may have misread your cues.
