Hi all—
I am heart broken. My DH and I went in today to speak with my priest about having our marriage convalidated. I was only 17 when I got married and recieved some misinformation from my then priest. This was 15 years ago…to make a long story short I was led to this forum and found out that I should not have been recieving the Precious Body and Blood. Since I found out my DH and I have refrained from marital relations hoping that I would be able to still recieve communion until the convalidation ceremony. Well my priest just rained on my parade…he told my that I really shouldn’t but that if I came up for communion he wouldn’t deny me. I guess denying myself for the next month or so will be a humbling experience.
I didn’t realize how much I take for granted being able to recieve such a miracle. I feel like I lost a child–or maybe I feel like a lost child…either way I don’t like it.
Pray that I may get through this in one piece.
