I have placed your petitions within my heart and will carry them with me to Mass and I will remember your petitions in my daily prayers.

I have an update regarding my uncle and aunt. Recovery is still taking place. Continued prayers are requested. Thanks.
  • My aunt continues to recover from her injuries. Her hands were injured in the accident and is in re-hab to help strengthen them. She needs to use her hands as part of her current job.
  • My uncle is no longer in a coma. He can speak but does complain of pain in his back from some vertebre that were injured from the accident. His mind is still foggy regarding recognizing reality in some situations. The effects of the brain injury stil linger. He is scheduled to come home shortly. My aunt indicated to my mom that she does not think my uncle is ready yet to come home even though the hospital thinks he is.
Thanks again everyone. I am confident your prayers have made a difference in their recovery. Please pray for continued strength particularly for my uncle and aunt and their children.

I have an update on my aunt and uncle. God is good, very good indeed. Thank you all for your prayers!. The type in bold is an e-mail I received from my sister (Sorry, I can’t load the photo, but his expression of joy is one I have never really seen on him before and it is quite wonderful if you could imagine):

Here is a picture of Uncle Bill who was in the motorcycle accident a while ago. I can remember going to see him. He was in a coma. I can remember talking to him while he was in the coma about the Packers playing the Bears that weekend. You all know Uncle Bill has had many heart attacks and I believe he even had one while in his coma or while coming out of it.
**Through this all, I have not been as happy about life as I had been in a while to see Uncle Bill this past Sunday at Courtney’s baby shower. He walked in the building and just lit up the place for me. Yes, he has some tremors in his right arm from his back injury from the accident but his mind was sharp as a tack. His humor was still in place. I did notice a huge change in him however. His personality changed a bit. It seemed to me anyway, that he had no anger in him. It seemed to be lifted from him. He was very apreciative to see everyone again. He was very appreciative whenever Aunt Geri would do anything for him. He seemed to really cherish her. I don’t know, it seemed to me to be a miracle. I just loved seeing him. It just reminded me to maybe appreciate my loved ones a little more. **

Ps - oh, you might notice a big scar on Aunt Geri’s forehead from the accident too.

Praying for a full recovery.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.
Amen.
