I wanted to make a topic to learn about some of the lesser known saints of the Catholic Church that do not get the same coverage as say saint Francis of assis or saint Therese of liseux. So if you have a saint which is one of your favourites please comment

Saint Gabriel of the Sorrowful Mother.

He was a seminarian during the era of Italian Unification, and the village that was near his seminary had been taken over by the soldiers of the Unification. Going into the village one day, he sees a soldier about to take and rape a young woman from the village. Gabriel takes the soldier’s revolver from his belt and points it straight at him. The soldier scoffs, thinking that Gabriel won’t shoot him. Seeing a lizard running across the town square a few dozen yards away, Gabriel shoots the lizard cleanly in the head. The soldier lets go of the girl, shocked.

St. Toribio Romo, the “Holy Smuggler”, appears to migrants crossing the border into US and helps them with food, water, and job leads.

St Panteleon - He was a physician. His conversion came about he said to a dead man, “In the name of Jesus get up.” When the dead man arose that led to his conversion.
