Why? Who got banned for saying that islam is not a relilgion of God (The Blessed Trinity)?
Well, I think sometimes CAF mods are more concerned with being politically correct than being Catholic. I wonder what they would be like if they were around during the time of Christ. Then again, that goes for all of us. But as mods they wield considerable power. Let’s see if with the last couple of posts I’ve made whether Catholicism shines or the CAF view that all religions deserve respect.

You realize that their requirement of respecting other religions extends to wicca and other less than Abrahamic religions. Not sure about Satanism, but it is a recognized religion.

Think of the Qur’an as the map to guide us through the journey of life and think of the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) as the accompanying legend by which to correctly read this map.

Therefore, reading the Qur’an alone will not be enough to truly understand the Message of Islam because you will also need to refer to the Sunnah in order to not misinterpret the Qur’an.

To remedy this situation, I would suggest that you read this very comprehensive crash course on the major teachings of the Sunnah.

By properly learning this very well-known collection of ahadith, I would dare say that your level of understanding of the true teachings of Islam would, God-willing, be higher than that of most Muslims in the world.
Okay…i’ve skimmed over ur suggested link and what have I found? The value of human life is explained only for muslims (non muslims are not even regarded valuable or not) and it’s even said that it’s lawful to kill muslim on 3 conditions:
  1. One who have killed the other muslim (no suggestion if he killed non muslim)
  2. One who have performed adultery
  3. One who become an apostate
See…we understand enough then of how “noble” and “peaceful” is your Quran with the guidance of the Sunnah…!

Och there’s more Hamba from your link, the instruction of this:
Whosoever conceals the faults of a Muslim, Allah will conceal his faults in this world and the Hereafter.
So that makes me understand that you can lie the best that you can as to promote ur brotherhood of muslims for the sake of the false “peaceful” and “noble” ummah.
The comment comes also with this:
Another thing that is also worth mentioning is the faults of the ulama’ or scholars. Nowadays we can notice a very strange attitude coming from some seekers of knowledge who try to find out and reveal the mistakes of very well-known scholars. This sort of situation is even worse because they are revealing the mistakes of not just regular persons. If it is a matter of academic discussion or research, we should handle it in an appropriate way that upholds the status of our scholars.
To uphold the status of the scholar, you are advised to “bear false witness, lie and pretend”. That’s why it’s very clear now that all of you are burdened to have a revisionist image of Muhammad to be peaceful, friendly, never killed anyone, never harmed anything for the sake of upholding the status of him and Islam…what a twisted religion!

what hamba does best, shoots himself in the foot!

Just as one should never pick and choose verses of the Qur’an out of context, one should also not pick and choose the ahadith in the same manner.

Just by merely “skimming” over the 42 ahadith collection of Imam Nawawi and picking one or two choice hadith to seemingly support one’s sentiments without regard to the teachings found in the other ahadith of his collection is plain disingenuous.

oops hamba…
I thought all the list of those ahadith were classyfied under different topic to clarify each muslim regarding different matter, so each aspect were dealt accordingy and can be understood clearly.
Hamba u’re the one who probably missed those points I raise…😃

Anyway please tell me anything that I wrote that u can’t find in the ahadith explanation by the scholar u brought…

For those who are still unclear as to how to connect the Qur’an and the Sunnah and in particular, how to understand the 42-ahadith collection of Imam Nawawi which I have mentioned in an earlier post, then I think the following would be an apt description of how to go about it:

Oh, hear the word of the Lord!

How can a book which is just a confused jumble of sentences put together without chronology and coherence be a guide to anything?

*I had hoped to get clarification from a Muslim because I have seen some horrific things in the Quran. From what I can see there can be no debate because there is really no interpretation but a literal one. The Quran is very clear. Allah is not a loving god after all. One can understand why terrorists keep quoting the Quran.

It is a shame. I have always looked at every human being as a brother/sister in Christ. I have always believed that Christ died for us all and when we are told to love our neighbour that includes Muslims as well.

This is a big disappointment indeed.

God help us all

Hi Cinette! Islam is not and never has been a religion of peace as Muslims claim. One ex-Muslim has called the Quran “a training manual for terrorists”. Islam" does not mean peace, but submission. It is a religion of hate and intolerance. Ask anyone who has left Islam, and they’ll tell you how they were taught to hate the unbelievers. Their clerics keep fanning the flame of hate by references to the “enemies of Islam” as I saw in a link a Muslim posted. Muslims are taught that the unbelievers are plotting against them and that all the problems Muslims have are the fault of non-Muslims, instead of blaming their backwardness on Islamic teachings. And yes, may God help us all! We’re sure going to need His help to get over all of this!

… rather the origin of most of them does not go beyond the period intervening between the 11th and the 14th centuries. …
If they do not predate the 11th and the 14th centuries, how can Mohammed say they were corrupt, since he lived in the 7th century?

*The context for Ayat 7 of Surah 1 is Ayat 6 which says: “Guide us to the Straight Way” and the context of Ayat 6 is the Surah of which it is a part.

Furthermore, the explanation as to who those who earned Allah’s Anger were was given by the Prophet(pbuh) himself, same with regard to those who have gone astray. I also provided the Hadith namely quoted by At-Tirmidhi and Abu Dawood.

As you know Surahs 2 and 3 are rich in attacks on Jews and Christians but I am not concerned with that. I chose Surah 1 because there is less room for contention.

Karen Armstrong in her book “ISLAM a Short History”, says that the Prophet loved Jews and Christians and draws our attention to Surah 29:46 but this does not interest me because of abrogations. Let us just stick to Surah 1. If you cannot justify Ayat 7 of Surah 1 just say so and let us move on; no hard feelings. *

**

The Qur’an says that the Christians who will be safe on the Day of Judgment are those whose eyes are likely to be overflowing with tears when they listen to the truth of the Qur’an.

However, those who shed crocodile tears are of course not eligible for entry into Paradise.**

Which truth of the Quran?
The one which say that Mary the mother of Jesus was the sister of Aaron?
The one which said that Allah dictates that the follower must face Jerusalem when praying and later on Allah change his mind to Mecca?
The one which said that the followers must face Mecca during praying, but the follower said that Allah does not dwell there?
The one which said that those who died for Allah is Jihad, but when captured allowed the followers to lie and even to denied Allah for survival?

The Qur’an is the verbatim Speech of the Lord and Creator of all that exists in the Universe.
“Quran is the verbatim speech of Allah”, because Muhammad said so.
How do you know Muhammad is saying the truth? > Quran said so.
How do you know that Quran is the truth? > Muhammad said so.
How do you know Muhammad is true? Quran said so.
You can repeat the point again and again till end of the world anyway.

How can it be “the verbatim speech of the Creator” when it states that the earth is flat? What kind of creator would concoct a book as incoherent as the Quran, and fill it with so much hatred and violence?

"A confused jumble, crude, incondite; endless iterations, long-windedness, entanglement; most crude, incondite, insupportable stupidity in short.” That’s historian Thomas Carlyle’s description of the Koran—and he was fairly sympathetic to Islam.

At least Muhammad was not teaching Astronomy 101.
