The Point he is making is that they don’t believe in the reincarnation of God, but if they did believe in the reincarnation of God it would kinda be like the reincarnation of Elijah coming back as John the Baptist .
You put it well there Techno…

That’s the point…

It’s not reincarnation, it’s Return…

Especially in the sense of revealing truths which are mysteries and so we have on scientific knowledge of them, such as transfiguration, transubstantiation, resurrection, and heaven and hell.
Hi Vico

I would love your thoughts on the questions (in 2 recent posts I made) posed on aseity…

Thank you brother 🙂

.

If you don’t believe he is the… God the Son, part of the** Trinity**, what else could he be… but a mere mortal .
It has become quite obvious that will all the questions asked, many have not understood or actually read any of the answers 🤷

I would thus suggest that a visit back through the thread, will find the answers to that question, as the answer has been given many times. 😉

Regards Tony

Codswallop lol

I ask you then…show me where the absolute attribute of aseity exists within creation?

Tony, you are on a roll today…

It is said that all has been revealed in this thread, yet there are no eyes to see, nor ears to hear…

Sorry TonyFish 😉 but I can never get a clear answer on this, so I can’t go back into the threads to find it.

Here is a clear answer for you in English.

Jesus is the Word. The Word is a created, eternal First Emanation from the God’s Essence.

The above passage I quoted (from www3.nd.edu/Departments/Maritain/etext/cp37.htm seems to answer this question which I was looking for an answer:

The question now is, does aseity manifest within Creation?

.
Catholic teaching on aseity is that God is “absolutely independent and self-existent by nature, and, consequently, all-perfect without any possibility of change from all eternity.” *

And is opposed to “the pantheistic concept of absolute or pure being, which absolute or pure being evolves, determines, and realizes itself through all time.” *
  • Catholic Encyclopedia
Are you instead thinking of omnipresence?

AMEN!!! 👍

Tony said: Thought they were for all mankind Did not Christ die for us all ?

Jesus being one of many " Manifestations of God " why did he die for us? What did Muhammad’s Death do for us, because he was a " Manifestations of God " too.

Thus it could be considered as the answer in understanding the Trinity! 😉

But not Catholic teaching, anyway, for the second person of the Trinity, the Son is the Word.

John 1:1-5

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
