GE and others probably haven’t seen much improvement.

But it’s ironic that Amazon, the company hated by Trump, has vastly improved. And CEO’s like Buffet, Dimon, and others continue to prop the economy as they have done for over a decade.
GE has suffered years of bad management. Amazon is a company whose time came. Buffett does not add anything to the economy. He’s a trader, not a producer. Dimon might have contributed something to the economy. Most big bankers do.

Buffet buys and holds, he has some positive influence in facilitating effective management that is able to increase value.

Yup, we were ‘progressive’ both before and after the tax cut. The rich pay far more than the poor.
The ‘regressive’ taxes are mostly state and local, like a soda tax or using a lottery to generate revenue.
