Prayer for you & your young family…

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Glory be…

Also–you’ve had good advice about date nights and making a workable plan for sleep. I would suggest putting systems in place to make managing your household tasks easier: crockpot meals, making double batches of favorite foods, freezing one for later. Fly lady cleaning system (just google fly lady). Continue your prenatal vitamins. Start your day with the daily Mass readings and a morning offering & a prayer for family–even if it’s while you are nursing the babe.

The first couple of years of marriage are difficult because you are learning to put the other first in all things–it’s a dying to self; this is why the vocation of married life can be a path to holiness. It’s also difficult because we are getting to know the whole person and come to terms with the fact that the habits that were perhaps only annoying become grating in an extreme way with familiarity. You are not alone in your struggle–many of us have walked this way before you and come out the other side with love that is fuller, deeper, richer than the day we spoke our vows.

Blessings–and you may pm me if you like,

Postnatal depression could be a contributing factor. Roughly 1 in 10 women will suffer with it after birth. The husband is also susceptible. I don’t know if this could be a reason, but it’s something to consider.

My prayers are with you and your family.

There are some GOOD advice on this
thread, I pray you will be able to sep-
arate the wheat from the chaff!!

Our Father, who is in heaven,
hallowed be Your Name,
Your kingdom come,
Your will be done on earth as
it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those who trespass
against us,(forgive us our debts
as we have forgiven our debtors)
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
Amen.

Holy, holy, holy Lord God of hosts,
heaven and earth are full of Your glory.
Hosanna in the highest, blessed is
He who comes in the Name of the Lord.
Hosanna in the highest.
Amen.

Prayer for a Troubled Marriage

O St. Rita,

Make us understand that a vocation
is not only a matter of attraction.

Enable us to see clearly that it is
also a matter of finding, in ordinary events,
God’s will for us and then accepting
it even if it seems to be baffling and
contrary to our wishes.

Teach those called to the marriage
state by the Lord to reflect deeply
on the delicate choice that will
influence their destiny.

Let them not be deceived by their
feelings; instead, let them look for
the solid qualities that keep a home
united in the joy of the Lord.

Teach unhappy spouses the power
of patience and mildness. Let them
not give way to discouragement but,
like You, let them save both the happiness
of their home and the soul of their spouse.

O St. Rita, we pray this prayer for this troubled
marriage through your name and in the name
of Jesus Christ, *Amen. *

Say a novena to St Joseph, he took care of the Blessed Mother as well as Jesus, he can certainly help you and your family out!!!

Praying for you guys, stay strong, pray, and have faith in God!!!

Our Father…

Hail Mary…

Saint Michael, the archangel, defend us in battle, be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil, may God rebuke him, we humbly pray. And do you, O’ Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God thrust into Hell Satan and all the other evil spirits who prowl about the world for the ruin of souls.

Amen.

Our Father who art in Heaven, hallowed be thy name.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread.

And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Amen.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee.

Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death.

Amen.

For Help in Trials

Most holy apostle St. Jude, faithful servant and friend of Jesus, the name of the traitor who delivered your beloved Master into the hands of His enemies has caused you to be forgotten by many. But the Church honors and invokes you universally as the patron of hopeless cases–of things despaired of. Pray for me who feels so hopeless. Make use, I implore you, of that particular privilege accorded to you of bringing visible and speedy help where help is almost despaired of. Come to my assistance in this great need, that I may receive the consolations and succor of heaven in all my necessities, tribulations and sufferings, in particular (adrgallardo and spouse), and that I may bless God with you and all the elect throughout eternity. I promise you, O Blessed St. Jude, to be ever mindful of this great favor, and I will never cease to honor you as my special and powerful patron, and to do all in my power to encourage devotion to you. Amen.

Prayer to Our Lady of Mental Peace

O Lady of Mental Peace,
Mother of Tranquility
and Mother of Hope,
look upon adrgallardo in this time
of weakness and unrest.

Teach her searching heart
to know that God’s Love
for her is unchanging and
unchangeable, and, that
true human love can only
begin and grow by touching
His Love.

Let your gentle Peace -
which this world cannot give
  • be always with her.
And, help her to bring this
    same Peace into the lives
    of others.
Our Lady of Mental Peace,
  • Pray for us!
    Amen.
Jesus, Help Me!

In every need let me come to You with humble trust,
saying:
Jesus, help me!
In all my doubts, perplexities, and temptations:
Jesus, help me!
In hours of loneliness, weariness and trials:
Jesus, help me!
In the failure of my plans and hopes, in disappointments,
troubles and sorrows:
Jesus, help me!
When others fail me, and Your Grace alone can assist me:
Jesus, help me!
When I throw myself on Your tender Love as Savior:
Jesus, help me!
When my heart is cast down by failure, at seeing no good
come from my efforts:
Jesus, help me!
When I feel impatient, and my cross irritates me:
Jesus, help me!
When I am ill, and my head and hands cannot work and
I am lonely:
Jesus, help me!

Always, always, in spite of weakness, falls and short-
comings of every kind:
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, help me and never forsake me!

Amen

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; He descended into hell; on the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there He will come to judge the living and the dead. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.

Eternal Father, I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity of Your Dearly Beloved Son, Our Lord, Jesus Christ, in atonement for our sins and those of the whole world.

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.
For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

May you receive the consolation and the support of the Holy Family. May St. Joseph pray for and guide your husband’s thoughts, words, and deeds; may Mary the mother of our Lord pray for you and guide you thusly, and may God incarnate heal all of your problems. In Jesus name I pray. AMEN!

And prayers for you again today.

We have been married a little over a year with a two month old and we fight/argue ALL THE TIME. Ever since the baby came, we can barely stand each other. He’s constantly telling me that I do nothing all day long. Plus we have polar opposite personalities; he definitely has that extreme type A personality and I’m an extreme type B. We use to be able to compliment each other’s differences, but it feels like things have changed for the worse ever since the birth of my beautiful baby boy. We both don’t believe in divorce but if this continues we will never have another child (–if you catch my drift)

I am asking for prayers that we learn how to live with one another and love each other more joyfully, Any suggestions for this newlywed would be greatly appreciated.
I have been married for 28 years, I have a great marriage. So here are something we do to make sure we stay in love. First, for me, when I am upset with my wife I always think of her beautiful green eyes. But when I really look into them there are flakes of brown. I always make sure I focus on the wonderful things instead of the negative things about my wife.

Next, we still hold hands. No matter where we go we are holding hands and yes that included when we carried our son.

We flirt all the time. When my wife is putting on her makeup in the moring I always make it a habit to tell her just how important she is.

We joke all the time. Even when we are upset with each other we joke and laugh.

At night, when we are in bed, she knows if I had a bad day she will either rub my back or hold my hand.

That doest mean we dont have disagreement, we have raised two sons, moved on average every three years and have lived in 5 states, one of them twice.

Having a happy marriage is simple. Do those simple things and it will make the difficult time easier.

Wow, thank you everyone for the prayers and the advise! I will try and take Philips advise and try and do small things for my husband to help my marriage.

Lord please help this couple to get enough rest and be able to cope with the challenges in their relationship and in doing their duties, in the spirit of love and understanding.

Praying for your newly marriage and family to be a selfless marriage guided in God’s way of love (1 Corinthians 13), trusting that no matter the conflicts- no matter what, Christ is presently with us always and is with you in every struggle/cross; invite Him into everything you’re experiencing & pray for your husband (if you haven’t already) to have a change of heart, mind, & soul (if necessary) to build a strong foundation of deep love within your marriage and family and see what happens.
