I see bread, wine, and prayer. Pseudo, fake, whatever you want to use to continue to use the word ‘communion’ as in a Catholic Host is not what is there.And the groups of people at Fransiscan U no doubt have permission to do so–if they don’t then they too should desist. This is the crux of the matter. In all liturgical matters the bishop has the final say. If this man is operating outside the knowledge and approval of his bishop he should change what he is doing. It’s not the gathering together that is the issue, it’s the pseudo communion he is offering.
If it’s not a consecrated host, it is bread.
Thanks for responding to the second example with consistency. So, to eat bread, drink wine and pray at the same time is wrong in your eyes.
