There is so much in your post that we could get lost in answers. I thought it would be best to concentrate on one thing at a time. You have used the word slander many times. I thought it might be advisable to define terms as I get the impression that you mean something different when you use slander.
What this all comes down to is that you have not substantiated your claim of libel or that he has a tainted web site.
is an untruthful oral (spoken) statement about a person that harms the person’s reputation or standing in the community.
Libel
An untruthful statement about a person, published in writing or through broadcast media that injures the person’s reputation or standing in the community.
You saidLie to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive.
Its the baseless questions against character that he is raising that is so objectionable.
Baseless would mean no grounds. Correct? Does he have grounds? You have not shown that he does not. You accuse him of slander and I think you mean libel unless you have heard him say what you claim is a lie. You have not shown that what he has written is a lie. What the Bishop has found has no bearing on Salbato’s writing. It does not prove that what he writes is a lie. I read Unity Publishing on her and do not see where he says that her character is the reason why her messages aren’t true. Perhaps you can quote it directly. I did find that he is mistaken in his knowledge of annulments. I would not call it a lie for I don’t believe he is trying to deceive. He does identify the colleague as the chief executive who is listed on Anne’s web site. I am not sure what you mean by remotely and questionable. I don’t know if his information can be independently verified but he claims to have the proof through e-mail exchange. I cannot confirm nor deny this . Can you?Baseless is trying to slander Anne’s character as a reason why her messages must be not true. But her Bishop, who knows her and has examined her, does not find fault with her character - only praise. Yet Salbato, who does not know and has not met her, feels qualified to publish web pages on his site that present her as having bad character - too tainted for the Lord to ever use! He has never met her: he bases his slander on rumors and “testimony” of an unnamed person who is remotedly and very questionalby connected to an alleged colleague. Thats baseless.
