I have heard this Edith Stein Project at the University of Notre Dame is wonderful if anyone is in the northern Indiana or even Chicago area in mid-Feb. Canonized in 1998 as St. Theresa Benedicta of the Cross, Edith Stein is a Jewish convert to Catholicism (also a Carmelite nun) who was murdered in Auschwitz in 1942. It’s a Catholic approach for defining feminism and relationships according to the Theology of the Body and Humanae Vitae. More info on the site below.

I had read of this on Dawn Eden’s blog - she was one of the speakers last year. Hopefully now that I’m at Notre Dame my schedule will permit me to attend at least some of the talks.

The silly Vagina Monologues gets a lot of attention (and Lord knows I wish Fr. Jenkins would put an end to it on campus) but there are good things happening at ND, too.
