Unnerving Our Father (hand holding) experience

At the moment before we stand to pray the Lord’s prayer, I fold my hands in prayer and have not had any adverse reactions from anyone.
 
Well. It’s gone now…but there was a pretty blatant one on the last page…😉

There are still a couple about our lack of focus on Jesus, or our lack of love for others because we don’t feel like holding hands with everyone at the Our Father is a requirement for us.
No, no brother. I don’t think that anyone implied that. There is nothing abnormal about not feeling like holding hands for reasons like: not being used to do it, not seeing any meaning in it or because the church never taught it. However, to to feel disgusted with the very idea of holding a stranger’s hand or to fear contamination / disease, is just lack of love. In fact most of us are lacking in love and that is why we venerate role models like Francis of Assisi and Mother Teresa for embracing Lepers and pray to be transformed like them.

You’ve made your point quite clearly on this thread and I think everyone knows how you feel about those who choose differently than you on the hand holding issue.
