Not to tangent, but are there any good auxilary bishops out there rumored to be moving soon? We’ve been waiting here for nearly 6 months now for a new Bishop, and I’ve heard absolutely zero about a replacement.

I really like our Archbishop!
It is Chaput, he is a great shepard.
I have emailed him on a couple of matters and he always takes the time to answer back, which is greatly appreciated, especially with all his duties.

I doubt he will be leaving soon, since we just got him not too long ago, but Auxiliary Bishop Jose Gomez in Denver is very good. Another consideration is that he seems to have pretty much been sent here to reach out to the large Hispanic community in Colorado. I’m not sure what the demographics are like in 'Sconsin.

I think we need to be careful in talking about our bishops (and priests). We need to praise the good ones by name. But when one is doing something we do not agree with, no matter how true it is, we probably shouldn’t point out a particular bishop.
By this I mean, for example, it is two different things - calling a person a liar, and saying that a statement is a lie. The former talks about the person, the latter talks about the action. We do not have the right to judge a person, but we can look at actions and more objectively say something about them.
I think we can look to the example of JP II and how he praises the good and also in the way he addresses the wrong.

I took Burke but than realized Cleveland would be a demotion. So I’d like to switch to Sheridan and give Burke to someone in need, like Los Angeles.

Why isn’t Cardinal George on this list??
I would also like to have Archbishop Burke back (I used to live in LaCross diocese of Wisconsin)… but I chose other because I really really admire Cardinal George’s courage and fidelity.
