Today’s Divine Mercy Chaplet offered for Bob.
Lord, I come before you today to interceed for my brother and to ask for his healing . Pls look down upon him Lord and heal him from the tip of his hair to the soles of his feet. Remove every pain he is experiencing right now and embrace him with your peace, joy and tenderness . Renew and strengthen all his faculties and comfort him with your everlasting love. All these I pray , in the mighty and powerful name of Your son, Jesus, who is my Lord and my Savior. Amen.
Did I miss an informational post? I don’t think the hospital will be able to forward a message to Geezer Bob! Need proper info!
Keep those prayers coming. Many thanks to all for the ecards, calls, and prayers.
I had a stent put in yesterday after a long exploratory cath. Once the drugs wore off, I started feeling much better and was released this morning with pages and pages of instructions and more prescriptions than I can afford. I’m still weak, so my individual acknowledgments will have to wait a day or two.
My son took me to Shoney’s for some real food (I lost 6 pounds in 4 days on hospital food, eating all of everything I was sent, including stuff I normally wouldn’t touch), then to Wally’s to get prescriptions filled, and finally home. I’m now ready to rest for a while, then update local friends and family and get myself mentally prepared for the onslaught of people, so I probably won’t be back on line until this evening or tomorrow morning. Will try to get caught up with everyone then.
Again, thanks to all for your prayers. They were definitely heard, as evidenced by the fact that I’m home already.
What happens if he comes back with a greater appreciation for life and isn’t curmudgeonly any more?Best regards to the Geez! He’ll be bouncin’ with the best of 'em in no time!
Well, we can make him miserable in plenty of other ways and get the old Geez back! What happens if he comes back with a greater appreciation for life and isn’t curmudgeonly any more?![]()

Obviously they are Curmudgeons.Update: I had a stent installed yesterday and am back at home for a few more days of bed rest. Thanks to all for your prayers and e-cards.
I have a question for all you medical types out there. You cannot order salt from the hospital kitchen, no matter what unit you’re in. At the same time, they see nothing wrong with hanging a liter bag of saline solution on the rack and injecting it directly into your veins. God never intended for man to eat unsalted grits (double yuck) and I was sorely tempted to run and ounce of that salt water into my bowl of grits to flavor them. Why do they do contradictory things like that?
