This link is coming from Baton Rouge

I am streamlinking right now!
What I am listening to is UNBELIVABLE!
WInds up to 175MPH and and gusting to 215 MPH!

This maybe the WORST hurricane of ALL TIME!
I just clicked on the link and you are right, it is amazing coverage.

Good night all. We still have power and have cranked the A/cs down to get us through the night. Latest newscast on TV still shows massive traffic jams in Baton Rouge with everyone from New Orleans trying to pass through. St. Michael’s candle is burning in the living room. Youngest son is wide awake and on guard. I’m heading to bed before the power goes off.

Please continue your prayers for the folks in New Orleans. They’re going to need it. (Brother and uncle got out of city safely).

We will!

Thank God!

I know there will be many things that you and all our NO area friends will be worried about in the coming days, but please check in with us when you get the chance. Again, God Bless all of you! You will continue to be in all of our prayers!

My wife’s parents and her sister’s family left, but her brother is stuck. He’s staying with an uncle who is also stuck. My mother is riding it out - with my sister, who is visiting her from out of town  .

Please pray for them!

Absolutely!! We are :gopray2: :gopray2: praying for all those folks who are in harm’s way.
God bless & keep them safe.:gopray2:

Pray to Our Lady of Prompt Succor and Bl. Francis Xavier Seelos

Beg God’s Divine Mercy

Most Merciful Jesus
Have Mercy on New Orleans and all the other places which may be hit
Our Lady of Prompt Succor
Pray for New Orleans and protect it and intercede to thy Son
Blessed Francis Seelos
Pray for the city which you have ministered to in your holy life

I’m still listening to their local coverage.
The eye will pass on the east side of New Orleans…the size of the eye is enormous! (at least 30miles large).

Baton Rouge where brotherhrolf lives will be spared the hurricane force winds and the rainfall projected amounts have been decreased.

Dear friends

This is terrible, my heart goes out to those of you near to or affected by this hurricane. As I read through this thread I was aghast at your bravery. All of you remain in my prayers. Please leave the area and may God go with you.

God Bless you and much love and peace to you

Teresa

The Superdome roof in NO has several tears in it. That is not a good thing. Some water coming in. It could be a nightmare if it caves with thousands of people trapped inside. 😦

I got out of New Orleans. Granted it took 12 hours to get where I am right now (Dothan, Alabama). I want to thank all of you for offering all your rosaries, masses, etc. I just hope my house is there when I get back. I will keep everyone posted.

Summa-

Thank God you are alright. I am in tears right now. Thank you for checking in. We will keep praying for everyone in Katrina’s path.

Here is an update about New Orleans: 20 historical buildings have collapsed so far, 5 people per minute are calling 911 to be rescued, 2 levees so far have been broken and most have been breached. This is just what they know so far. It will probably get worse too.

You had my morning rosary devoted to all in the path.
God Bless

I have heard the Hyatt in New Orleans has received damage and more to the Superdome.

The French Quarter is 9 feet underwater, from what I read from online news reports.

ANY area south of I-10 throught the Gulf Coast area, much devistation!
