an UPDATE - L was moved from I CU to a regular room earlier this evening. that is progress.
thank you all for your prayers. i am amazed that he has come this far considering his condition a week ago. God does work miracles!

UPDATE: L was able to walk today with a walker. In a few days he will be moved to an acute rehabilitation facility.

Thank you for your prayers! It is a miracle that he has made it through these last two weeks!

God of all creation, you who spoke a simple command and brought forth light from
the darkness, I ask you now to send forth your miracle-working power to heal (L). You cleansed the lepers, opened the eyes of the blind and by
speaking a simple command, you empowered the crippled to rise up and walk.
You sent forth your life-giving power to all those in need, including those you raised from
the dead. I ask you to send forth your healing power into L’s body and give him the strength to fight his illness. I ask this through my Lord, Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen

My daughter-in-law told me to thank everyone on this thread who has been praying for her Dad. they hope to move him to a rehab place over the weekend and he should be there for two weeks.
