There have been several explosions on the London Underground system possibly due to power surges. Also rumours of an explosion on a bus.

Please pray

Yes, please pray for our borthers and sisters in England and London.

11:00 a.m. ET: 33 confirmed fatalities. 4 sites bombed:
  • Between Aldgate East and Liverpool Street subway stations.
  • Between Russell Square and King’s Cross subway stations.
  • At Edgware Road subway station.
  • On a bus at Tavistock Square.
I have asked that Masses be for Londoners today at St Michael’s Cathedral.

A terrible tragedy. Some news reports are saying that at least 40 people are dead and many more wounded. 6 bombs in 4 locations. These were acts of terrorism. :bigyikes:

All of the UK is in my prayers, especially the Londoners and the friends of my son who live or work in the Russell Square and King’s Cross areas.

I live in Ireland but was in London last Friday. I’m completely shocked and feel the same way I did when 9/11 and the Madrid bombs happened. I have managed to get in touch with all my friends/relations with the exception of two whom I hope to reach tonight and thank God, all whom I have been in touch with are okay.

Here’s a latest update.

Leslee,

You can be assured that we here in the United States will keep your country in our prayers. Since 911, we know the sorrow that the terrorist can inflict.

My prayers are with you also.
Mary

Praying… :gopray: For all and especially for my cousin and his family. Hope they are OK! 😦

A group calling itself “The Secret Organization of al-Qaida in Europe” took responsibility for attacks.

I am praying for all of them and their familys’:gopray2: Where are all our friends from there?:crying: I hope they are okay?:crying: Horrible!:crying:

Praying right now. I’m confident the prayers of millions from the U.S. and more from around the world are being said for England right now.

I agree. Our brothers and sisters in England, please let us know how you and your families are doing.

I was frightened for my elder brother who is working around central London, it was very scary when I could not get through because of the mobile phones, I had to leave college and go home to console my mother. He is alive and well, thank God, thankyou God!
Everyone in the UK we have been expecting something like this to happen ever since we went to war with Iraq but it is still still shocking. I don’t think people will support the war on Terrorism though, it is a freaking ideology, when will these world leaders get it into their thick skulls? We should never have got involved with the American goverment, we should never have gone to Iraq.
Bush had the nerve to make a speech about the death of innocents, about the taking of human rights? What? What?! He is responsible for death of hundreds of people and flaunts human rights on a frequent basis. I hope he chokes on a freaking pretzel! I hope Tony Blair starts to break away from Bush.
I am so angry!

London, you are in my heart and prayers.

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee; blessed art thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Thank you so much for all your prayers. My country needs all of them it can get :crying: I’m sick of these terrorists! :crying: Why do they take so many innocent lives? :crying:

I found out about the first explosion at 11:00, we only thought then that it had been a power surge :crying: The whole classs prayed for everyone in the UK :crying: It was only on the bus home from school I found out the true nature and extent of the attacks :crying:

I’m so sad :crying: all those innocent people…

Michael :crying:

Blaming the victim? Sticking your head in the sand? Walk me through this: by withdrawing from the coalition against terror you hope to achieve…

what?

If you want to be pointing the finger, shall we we reraise the subject of Ulster?

Great idea, Edwin. You start it. Just start a new thread with the first prayer of the Rosary. Then contact the moderator for News (on the forum list page) and ask him/her to make your thread into a sticky.

I am sure your kind words for President Bush’s fate are of great comfort to many.
I am glad your brother is safe in London but I find your personal slur on the President who DOES have the support of millions of Americans tasteless.

I do agree with one of your sentiments: Bless all those in London.
