Our Father, Who art in Heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth as it as it is in Heaven.
Give us this day, our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive
those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but
deliver us from evil.
Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee.
Blessed art Thou among women,and
blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us now, and
at the hour of our death.
Amen

Glory be to the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning, as is and ever shall be, world without end.
Amen

O my Jesus, forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell,
lead all souls to heaven, especially, those in most need of Your Mercy.
Amen

O God who are the only source of health and healing, the Spirit of calm and the central peace of this universe, grant to me such a consciousness of Your indwelling and surrounding presence that I may permit You to give me health and strength and peace,
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Update on Uncle Joe as of 10-10-09 sent to me by my cousin Laura who is my Uncle Edwins daughter and my cousin as well as another neice of Uncle Joe’s.

I went to visit Joe this evening. I spoke with Nina before I went and she said he was keeping his eyes open now and was aware of their conversations and prayers. He just can’t talk or shake hands… he blinks alot at you and can move his left hand around some, and he holds your hand 🙂

So, he was sleeping when I showed up so I woke him up to say hi 🙂 He looked really excited to see me-- cool feeling! He totally recognized me… I told him he was looking sooooo much better than last time I saw him, and he gave me a left sided grin (right side doesn’t work so well).

I told him his big ol’ brain needed to figure out how to work his mouth again so that he can start talking to us and he lit up— His eyes got wide, he started moving his mouth and rolling his tongue… he was making some noise. I told him that I know he’s trying to talk, and in his head he has the words, his brain just isn’t communicating through his mouth yet… I told him I know it’s got to be so dang frustrating to have the words in his brain and not be able to express them! He let out a big sigh with that 🙂

The nurse came in to rub his feet with lotion, and he seemed to like that alot-- really flexing those feet for her… living in the lap of luxury 🙂 Check out that view!!! He’s got a corner room with a wide view of downtown Houston, and the UH Football Stadium… there was a game while we were talking, so in the far right of the photo, you can see the scoreboard lit up.

Please continue your prayers for his slow but steady recovery. Thank you.
