This morning the Holy See announced the decision of Pope Benedict XVI to name Archbishop Edwin Frederick O’Brien as the Pro-Grand Master of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He replaces the retiring John Patrick Cardinal Foley.

Archbishop O’Brien had been serving as Archbishop of Baltimore, Maryland, USA. His replacement has not yet been named.
