Bishop Michael William Warfel was named Bishop of Great Falls-Billings, Montana.

The Diocese had been vacant since the resignation of Bishop Anthony Michael Milone in July 2006.

Bishop Warfel had been serving as Bishop of Juneau, Alaska.
