US Bishop Change: La Crosse, Wisconsin

This morning the Holy See announced the decision of Pope Benedict XVI to name Bishop William Patrick Callahan, O.F.M. Conv. as the new Bishop of La Crosse, Wisconsin, USA.

The diocese had been vacant since then-Bishop Jerome Edward Listecki was named Archbishop of Milwaukee in November 2009.

Bishop Callahan had been serving as Auxiliary Bishop of Milwaukee.
 
Praying for a holy bishop in my part of the world, and for a TLM to come here.
