US Bishop Change: Pittsburgh

This morning the Holy See announced the decision of Pope Benedict XVI to name Bishop-elect William J. Waltersheid as Auxiliary Bishop of Pittsburgh, PA, USA and titular bishop of California.

He had been serving as a Priest of Harrisburg.

Hopefully, he is a powerful and holy Bishop.

I know several “Obama Catholics” in Pittsburgh who defend BO to this day.

Strong Bishop or not (I’m not familiar with whom preceded him)—some will never change their heart-they’re too affected (infected) by the world.

Let’s hope.
(My Hope is in The Lord-not Obama “Hope and Change.”

I’m a parishioner in the Diocese of Harrisburg, and I’ve got to say that Pittsburgh is getting a wonderful, holy, obedient priest as their new bishop. That diocese will be blessed by his presence there. I, for one, will miss him in my diocese.
