Oh if it’s lifesite then it must not be true. Ever. Carry on!

New Catholic here, thanks for the feedback about the source. What about them is unreliable though? Biased language, fake sources or what?

Lifesite, Lepanto Institute, Church Militant… The triumvirate of alt-right “Catholic” news

In my experience, you do have to double-check with the source that LSN relies upon. I suggest it is not outright lying or intentional deception, but the characterization of facts, that sometimes could lead to a different conclusion if one applies a charitable interpretation to the events being reported upon. The offhand dismissal of LSN here is not warranted, again IMO. YMMV.

So, are the claims in the Lepanto article false? There are screen shots, etc.

Now, that being said, if the funding came before the tweets, which it almost had to have come first, it might be reasonable to suggest that the CCHD did not know this would happen. Or it might be totally predictable.

Further, it might be totally predictable, but there still might be a justifiable reason to fund such entities, at least theoretically.

Still, if a CCHD-funded organization tweeted about, say, sedevacantism or called for PF’s resignation (pick your favorite anti-PF cause celebre’), might we think that the CCHD would be publicly disassociating itself from the groups it allegedly funds?

Just out of curiosity, in my recent post above, I link to one article from Lifesite and one from Catholic News Agency; I submit that the two articles cover the same facts and report them the same.

If one just linked to LSN, would that, in your opinion, constitute an “anti-Church rant”, or since it is accurate, is it OK? If it appears in CNA, is it OK?

Honestly, I didn’t notice the CNA link. Without specifically endorsing CNA, I will look at their articles. I am just too fed up with LSN to help them make money.

Edit - so the CNA article is about the Argentinian bishop, not the supposedly radical groups from the OP. Or are they related?

24 hours later, and you guys are still not discussing the topic, but arguing about LifeSite.

No offense, but the burden is on you to support your premise. Jacob asked you to give an example. Instead, you are asking him to do something slightly different.

That isn’t fair. You should answer his question before asking something different of him in return.
