pnewton, you seem angry that I liked Tantum ergo’s incisive post #19. Therein, she referenced the very clear anti-Catholic slant in the HUFF POST article, “Pope Francis Slams ‘Prejudiced Mentality’ Of Believers Who Fearfully Cling To Religious Laws”
I gave her two thumbs up for the entire, excellent post, and reinforced her perception of the HUFF POST article in my post # 20, which began as follows:
“Every knowledgeable Catholic learned long ago never to waste time with the dishonest spin by LA STAMPA or the HUFF POST (or their ilk, e.g., The National Catholic Reporter). The fish wrap media is no friend of the Church; it pushes its sensationalist propaganda to diminish peoples’ trust in the permanence of traditional (small t) teachings of the Church.”
To which, Sirach2, exhibiting some class, referred to as “chutzpa.”
(my addition).
Unfortunately, for some reason you now feel compelled to interject this:
P. S. That isn’t the best use of argumentum ad populum and ad hominem. Don’t make me sic ProVobis on you.

My friend, if you don’t agree that knowledgeable Catholics recognize the anti-Catholic HUFF POST, National Catholic Reporter and their ilk as fish wrap, then challenge me on that issue. No need to get nasty.“Every knowledgeable Catholic knows…”
Chutzpa Casserole - Argumentum ad populum and ad hominem mixed well together with a dash of insult for anyone who disagrees (that is, one is either not knowledgeable or not Catholic.)
