As a new America Citizen and a soon to be Catholic I am loving this debate!

MA schools are ranked #1 in the nation, according to Romney? Wow.

Is it just me or does Obama keep getting cut off by the moderator? Lol

I feel that Obama looks diminshed, and tired. His delivery is the same but it lacks force.

Very good debate so far…perhaps one of the best I’ve seen. For as well as a speaker as Obama is, I’m surprised to see how defensive he’s been this first hour…
He wasn’t on his beloved tele prompter…😉

Arguably. Might be slightly behind Maryland, but best in many overall indicators, Also, in reading, it is ranked 5th in the world - ahead of Japan, Singapore and many other high-performing nations.

I’m originally from Massachusetts, and it’s not surprising to me. They might be wacky, but education is a big deal there.

Well, I watched the debate in it’s entirety.

I have to give this to Mitt Romney. He was sharp, aggressive and at times the president looked like he was a bit confused on how he would answer.

Man I never saw Obama take such a painful licking, than what I saw tonight!

Mitt Romney owned that debate!

It’s was as if Ronald Reagan’s spirit was there :bighanky:

I have lived there myself and my mother’s side of the family is from Boston; it’s not entirely surprising, but surprising that I’ve never heard the ranking before.

I think it has to do with the latest SAT scores which just came out, and Massachusetts didn’t go ahead, but stayed the same, while the rest of the nation’s scores went down.

Rather unexpected.

👍 i agree. Romney was very strong tonight. he took control and made sure we knew where he stands on the issues correcting Obama several times.

The one interesting psychological observation I made of Mr. Obama, was that he didn’t quite know how to react to Mr. Romney taking control of the debate. There were times when Romney looked directly at Obama in answering some point, and talked to Obama as an adult would talk to a child. That was my overall impression of this debate: a debate between an adult and a child. I guess when you are President long enough, you get used to being the Boss. When a bigger Boss comes along, it puts you out of your element.
