Mighta been the prayers of the faithfulMan I never saw Obama take such a painful licking, than what I saw tonight!
Mitt Romney owned that debate!
It’s was as if Ronald Reagan’s spirit was there :bighanky:

yes!The one interesting psychological observation I made of Mr. Obama, was that he didn’t quite know how to react to Mr. Romney taking control of the debate. There were times when Romney looked directly at Obama in answering some point, and talked to Obama as an adult would talk to a child. That was my overall impression of this debate: a debate between an adult and a child. I guess when you are President long enough, you get used to being the Boss. When a bigger Boss comes along, it puts you out of your element.
Obama was on his heels for the most part:thumbsup:Man I never saw Obama take such a painful licking, than what I saw tonight!

Obama probably isn’t use to being taken to the clear. The one interesting psychological observation I made of Mr. Obama, was that he didn’t quite know how to react to Mr. Romney taking control of the debate. Yes indeed, kimmielittle.Mighta been the prayers of the faithful![]()
I agree, but I think Romney’s executive experience is what made him look more in touch with what he wanted to say than Obama. The one interesting psychological observation I made of Mr. Obama, was that he didn’t quite know how to react to Mr. Romney taking control of the debate. Well keep in mind, both candidates are trying to move independents to their side, so they’re not going to bring up wedge issues if they’re npt forced to.I was disappointed that Romney did not attack the HHS mandate when attacking Obamacare and talking about freedom of religion. Also wish he would have mentioned abortion when he talked about the Creator endowing the right to life.
When I heard Romney talk about “America is about religious freedom” and “protection of life” I took that as a swipe at Obama for HHS and his pro-abortion policy.I was disappointed that Romney did not attack the HHS mandate when attacking Obamacare and talking about freedom of religion. Did anybody see Obama’s lunch? Oh, yeah, I know where its at. Romney ate it!
I couldn’t agree more, Jim.Well keep in mind, both candidates are trying to move independents to their side, so they’re not going to bring up wedge issues if they’re npt forced to.
Contraception, the majority of Independents support it, although they’re in disagreement one who should pay for it. But politically in the debate, Romney was well advised to stay away from it.
Jim
Yes indeed, kimmielittle.
I have never witnessed such a one-sided debate performance ever. Victory Romney.
I tried to be objective because of my distinct preference for Romney. Even so, I honestly believe that Mitt Romney owned the debate. Obama looked dour, he stumbled over his answers constantly, and he looked wholly unprepared. Obama had little substance to offer; Romney was a walking encyclopedia.
Chris Wallace just said that Romney looked more presidential than Obama. I agree.

Did you want Mitt to wave around a glass jar with a fetus in it and drag out Cardinal Dolan?![]()
Two Touchdowns? How about a Grand Slam, with a Slam Dunk and a Touchdown, followed by a 2-point Conversion with an onside kicked followed by a fumble of the other team and a recovery with another Touchdown and another 2-point Conversion.Mitt handled it well. By the way, Charles Krauthammer just said Romney won “by two touchdowns”.
Agree:thumbsup:This debate convinced me that I will not be just voting against Obama this year, I will be happily voting FOR Romney!
He was very correct to make #1 action is to get energy independant. It was the jump in gasoline prices that brought our economy down in the first place.
And why did Obama say it was impossible for Romney to cut $5trillion in loopholes, and then later say that he cut $4trillion. Doesn’t follow.
And are many retired vice presidents of banks dependant on social security when they retire? Not a story to inspire sympathy.
Loved that Romney got the line in about morality and about religious persecution.
Didn’t Obama abuse the timing more than expected. One expects him to finish his sentence, or thought, and go over every so often for a longer time on special topics. But he went way over every time and had to be interrupted to make him stop. Made him appear conceited. And he didn’t really have anything to say anyway.
Welcome on board, incense! I hope other voters see it like you do now. Romney is a business executive, a CEO type, who knows how to make things work. He ran Bain Capital, Massachusetts, and the Olympics successfully. Obama had zero executive experience the day he entered the Oval Office. He hasn’t learned anything since, as evidenced by his record. This debate convinced me that I will not be just voting against Obama this year, I will be happily voting FOR Romney!
