Ah, how nice of Kathleen Gilbert to report on American Spectator’s article that exposes Kathleen Gilbert’s previous article as an example of shoddy journalism. Perhaps, she should have considered printing an apology or retraction, since she is the one that highlighted the misrepresentation of the USCCB’s involvement.

Ah, how nice of Kathleen Gilbert to report on American Spectator’s article that exposes Kathleen Gilbert’s previous article as an example of shoddy journalism. Perhaps, she should have considered printing an apology or retraction, since she is the one that highlighted the misrepresentation of the USCCB’s involvement.

I had the same thought: the article seemed to be an interesting way to side-step an apology.

Taken by itself, though (and ignoring the previous article), the article was surprisingly non-hostile towards the USCCB. It probably helped that the clarifying statement came from Chaput.
