There is a very fine line between “talking to people” and gossip.I find it useful to do research (reading, talking to people, etc) before meeting with my priest. I don’t think that’s confrontational; I think that’s just having an informed discussion.
Twist away, I never said that. The GIRM is certainly an authoritative document of “the Church” and that is the sort of thing the op was requesting, yes?Whoa! When did CAF become “the Church”?
Hmmm …Where’s the hatred?
Yes! *Thank *you. Admittedly I am a bit sensitive because my own parish is embroiled in some unbelievably nasty sedition. There are some truly disgusting people attacking our priest by going behind his back and gossiping. Someone is even circulating a petition to have him removed. These same haters refuse to come to the Town Halls that we call. If people would just *GO *to him and *TALK *to him, then we wouldn’t be in the mess we are today.Yes, they have hard jobs and they are overworked and stretched thin and we should for them daily (and for more vocations so that they aren’t stretched any further).
We have the mass in print. This is what should be used, what if the priest wanted everyone to say, “What’s up?” The mass is written the way it is to be said and no one is supposed to change it.The name Yahweh has been dropped out of respect because Judaism never utters it; this would not apply to “Shalom”. They use that word all the time.
