And neither you nor Nepperham has provided any.
See above. For some people no evidence is ever enough. My claims as to 19th century gun laws have been shown to be accurate.

Now, try to back up yours.

This is only true if you were black (leftists discriminated against blacks back then too).
Nepperhan . . . .
Sorry! That was conservatives who discriminated. Civil rights laws were a progressive program . . .
No they weren’t.

I was there in the 1960’s. I saw the Democrats lend support to the KKK and George Wallace.

You are wrong.

Nepperhan creating a straw man . . .
“is not to bear arms upon all occasions and in all places.”
Nobody here has ever claimed that.

Americans sometimes are very selective about who they let in their homes for example.

People only have the right to bear arms in their home if the home owner decides they do.

That has never been challenged here.

You are shadow-boxing a non-issue.
And then pretending it supports your position.

That was a quote from a scholar whose research supports my position on 19th century gun laws. No strawman was set up. However, your claim that my statement was in error has been refuted.

Yes and those Democrats were conservative. That’s my point.

Quick: Name five conservatives who were civil rights protesters. I’ll give you two: Charlton Heston and Ed Koch. Got three more?

supports my position on 19th century gun laws.
That’s the point. It does NOT support anything.

I already affirmed it and we have that NOW and nobody is lobbying to change this.

Nobody ever claimed we had or should have the right to take arms "upon all occasions and in all places."

If your guy said this he is fooling you.

No. My claim was that 19th century gun laws were more restrictive than those we have now. The historical record supports the accuracy of that claim.

And I told you that your argument was wrong.

And I used fully automatic weapons as an example (which you ignored).

While you gave me a nuthin burger (which I showed was irrelevant).
