Does anyone know about Varsity Spirit cheerleading camps? My 17-yr-old daughter just started cheerleading and she’s scheduled to go to one of these camps later this month with the cheerleaders from her high school.
Have you considered calling her coach and just expressing some concerns you have and making sure the coach knows that it is non-negotiable that she goes to Mass? You can look up Mass times and I am sure they have an early morning Mass. Or will she get home in time for an evening Mass on Sunday??Thanks for the information. I am kind of concerned about them picking my daughter up and tossing her (she’s light weight)–actually, not so much with them tossing her as with them catching her.
I too was the light weight one and I learned to do the middle (I think they are called the Russian)splits. They always needed someone in the front doing them. We were not allowed to do basket tosses though so I understand your concern.
Then, too, they’ll be staying at the Illinois State University campus in Normal over a week-end. I hope she’ll be able to attend Mass. I know the university has a Neuman Center.
