Fr Boulos Garas Bishay is parish priest in Egypt, at the Virgin Mary Queen of Peace Church. He expressed to the Synod Fathers his "deep concern and disquiet” about mixed marriages between Muslim men and Christian women. This trend is rising and will soon come to the West. “I often wonder in amazement and sorrow, why ‘the Christian party’ gives up so easily his or her cultural affiliation, faith and identity”.

Lack of knowledge or misconceptions about Catholic marriage, an increasing number of single women and a record number of single mothers make American women particularly vulnerable to this demographic invasion. More than half of all American adults are single. More than half of that number are women.
The melting pot of America is vulnerable and increasingly volatile.
